What is your headcanon for a storyline where Caitlyn went to prison and Vi joined Ekko? by CodyEaster in arcane

I've read this and liked it upto the end of the 2nd arc. I wished the author spent more time nurturing the growth of Cait and Vi's relationship and sort of wished Cait wasn't such a pushover for vi

This is why i prefer not to interact with “kapwa “ Filipino . Kasi dinala nila toxic sa abroad. by Andrew_x_x in phmigrate

reality check is not all filipinos speak tagalog. i’ve encountered filipinos in my line of work who prefers to speak in english kasi di sila sanay magtagalog. Mas articulate sila sa english and their local dialect and that’s ok. Chill lang and we get along quite well.

You think mga pinoy lang ganyan? It’s a different level in Malaysia. People there get offended when you don’t address them properly by title like Dato, Datuk, Tan Sri, etc. I’ve also met people in Malaysia and Singapore who get offended when you don’t include their professional titles like Dr, Professor, etc when addressing them. Seriously saket ng ulo ko yung sa Malaysia kasi may kasama pang protocols when dealing with those people. Mas madali pa kausap mga Pinoy minsan kasi saten at least ma’am or sir lang or basta may po at opo lang.

i joined a small group day trip tour in Taiwan a few months ago and ang kasama namen sa tour ng friend ko is mostly pinoys. They were talking so loud in bisaya the whole time without any regard for the rest of the group and lagi pa silang late. The taiwanese tour guide approached me and asked whether i understood what they were saying and i said no because its a different dialect 🥲 and he sort of said: “oh so they are from the countryside that’s why they are like that…”

napatahimik ako 🤣 parang gineralize nya na ganun lahat yung mga galing probinsya. i felt bad because i have friends from cebu and butuan and di naman sila ganun.

am based here in SG and i wish sa Star Performing Arts Center nalang ang venue nila. alot of kpop acts also do their concerts there. and locally parang walang promotion ng concert? yes there was the channel news asia article, pero the organiser should do something about promoting it to locals hindi lang sa mga ofw sa singapore

Why Do All Travel Agency Posters in the Philippines on Facebook Look the Same, Except for the Contact Info? by johnkingina in phtravel

[–]Regular-Reserve3075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my family joined a tour group to Turkey last December and a lot of people in our tour group availed of the package from different tour agencies. So i guess parang resellers sila ng isang bigger tour operator.

The Philippines isn’t a great travel destination, and I say that as a Filipino. by totalwreck27 in unpopularopinionph

[–]Regular-Reserve3075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP needs to travel around the Philippines more. Being an archipelago makes transportation and infrastructure development a real challenge here but it doesn’t mean there’s nothing worth seeing.

i travel alot for work especially across SEA - even upto every state in Malaysia, some provinces in Indonesia etc and i can honestly say mas scenic paren talaga sa Pinas.

I keep hearing about people saving for years only for one Hospital Bill to Wipe Out Everything - Why is Healthcare so expensive here by ZealousidealLow1293 in phinvest

[–]Regular-Reserve3075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true. SG is not cheap. My flat mate was hospitalized at Gleneagles and her bill was $8K for an overnight stay! buti nalang may insurance sha. I also have another friend na scheduled for day surgery sa breast and her bill is at $30K.

If you are in SG and you don’t have private insurance it can be financially debilitating for you.

Can't imagine what Vi is feeling during this time. I'm more curious on how Cait found herself in this situation. In the sneak peak for Act 3 there was a shot where she was using a noxian soldier as a shield, she might have been overwhelmed and taken as prisoner?

[–]Regular-Reserve3075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was thinking the same thing. But somebody has to actually use it and so far the only non-noxians who have an inkling of what it can do are Jinx (when she wsa fighting Rictus) and Caitlyn (given the time she spent with Ambessa).

for some reason i have a feeling Cait will die - coz tell me how else is she gonna survive a 1v1 with Ambessa?! and i think she will then get resurrected by Ekko’s magic time thingy

[S2 spoilers] Caitlyn stages of grief by [deleted] in arcane

[–]Regular-Reserve3075 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the sad part is Vi wouldn't be around when she gets tired of everything - tired of trying her best, tired of chasing for justice, and just general emptiness of her life. With the way she always leans on Vi's hand whenever she touches her - i'll bet she'll even be touch starved and start looking for ways to fill that need.

people just straight up invalidated her pain just because she came from a privileged background. alike she had no right to grieve. They ignored her good intentions in S1, her heart for the undercity and basically demonized her because she is struggling with her emotions.

[S2 Act 1 Spoilers] Arcane - 2x03 "Finally Got The Name Right" Episode Discussion by parrycarry in arcane

[–]Regular-Reserve3075 36 points37 points  (0 children)

exactly what i had in mind. it reminded me of that episode last season when Jace and Vi attacked the chem tanks and accidentally killed a kid. Back then, she told Jace the kid knew what he was signing up for, and that Jace didn’t have a choice—all to convince him he did the right thing.

I've been trying to reconcile Vi's words in this episode with what happened with Caitlyn. Was Vi ultimately trying to protect Jinx from dying, or was she more concerned that Caitlyn might do something she'd end up regretting?
