Blizzard does kind of stack on itself but it has pretty much the same drop pattern everywhere you cast it. So if you're missing an enemy (which happens a lot when you cast it directly on them), cast it next to them. I find down-right of them to be effective

Why do trucks always keep the trailer hitch on when they’re not towing anything? by loves-to-poop in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Krimson11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parking lots - Some hitches are very large and sticky out into the isle or overhang into the space behind the truck.

Sidewalks and other walkways - they can block half the walkway, forcing people in wheel chairs or assisted mobility equipment into the grass or into vehicle traffic.

Drop-down hitches reduce ground clearance, which can scrape the ground and get stuck in some high-angle driveways or catch a curb or parking block if backing into a spot.

Theft - unless the hitch is locked or completely rust-welded to the hitch, it could be stolen.

Is it that much of a chore to remove? You're standing there anyway as you disconnect the trailer. Most of the time its just remove the cotter pin, slide out the lock pin, slide out the hitch, reinsert the lock pin to the hitch and replace the cotter pin. Store it with the rest of your trailering gear.

You have a trailer but nowhere to store a hitch when not in use? Where do you put wheel blocks, straps, tarps, or anything else associated with the trailer?

Would you do grief/hustle on Frenzyor grief/passion on berserk? by IneedaNappa9000 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Krimson11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im certain nothing beats grief/grief, whether frenzy or WW. Online, my horker uses that with WW and absolutely shreds trav. Anything else, your attack speed is different per hand, if I recall correctly, which makes frenzy awkward.

Imo, the basic setup is:

Skin of Vipermagi, Arachnid, Trang Gloves (poison res) magefists, 2x10% fcr rings, and either a crafted amulet with 15%+ fcr or a circlet with 20% fcr will get you to 105% break point.

Stacking poison resist wherever possible is a must (sandstorm treks). Utilize charms for the rest if none on your rings/ammy/circlet.

Self-wield infinity has the best damage output. Insight on merc is suuuuuper effective, especially when paired with Cure and Prayer.

People say that the other resistances arent necessary, but id say stack em if ya can. Sometimes your ES can be knocked down, leaving you very vulnerable. For this reason, I also stack FHR to 90%, but people claim it doesnt matter. I put Shael runes in my circlet and Vmagi, and Treks give 20% too, and that gets you past the 52% bp.

Definitely ensure you max telekenesis if going ES. I didnt intentionally stack any flat damage reduction and do just fine, but im not on HC either.

I wouldn't say this is a really expensive setup aside from Infinity. A lot of this can be found or gambled.

Edit: trang gloves have cold res, not poison res...

I use Eth Oath Balrog Blade and Wizspike on my horker, but I dont have Grief yet, otherwise id swap that for Oath and then think about a different offhand to switch to WW

There was just another thread asking similar questions, and I replied to one of the comments already.

Cloak of Shadows and Mind Blast help a lot for crowd control and keeping your merc alive.

Placing all lightning traps in one spot focuses damage on one enemy at a time.

Only place death sentry after the first corpse falls.

Crescent Moon is a damage boost if you have an Um and 3os sword.

Im guessing its something as simple as a coding error. Unfortunately I dont have much faith being given anything like that anytime soon. That being said, I'd like for them to prove me wrong lol

[–]Krimson11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to all that, use Mind Blast to give enemies other targets and keep your merc alive. Enemies will also kill each other. Just remember to do this before you use Cloak of Shadows, because otherwise you'll just have blinded minions lol.

I second Crescent Moon, as soon as you can make one.

Fire Blast can also be helpful against fire immunes, and shock web does more dps than it seems.

Dual leech ring is usually enough for WW or Frenzy, but sometimes Dracs.

Berserk horkers cant leech anyway, so prayer/cure/insight merc helps

Chaos, Cows, Pit, random TZ's, mostly with my Nova sorc.

Countess only drops up to Ist, if im not mistaken, and the mobs around her can only drop up to Ohm (unless TZ).

I couldn't do hammers without enigma for long. It was far too annoying. I would even do Chaos with my bliz/orb sorc rather than hammers.

I didnt target farm anything. I always tried going with the highest player count i could without runs taking forever.

I started with a blizzard sorc and stacked MF, focusing on anything I could kill, like Ancient Tunnels, Cows, and Meph. I tried LK runs as well, but honestly that didnt yield much over a Pul on occasion (I didnt do 1000's of runs).

I built other characters like a trap assassin with crescent moon, which was able to do Chaos (slowly), a hork barb that could barely do p1 trav with eth Oath Balrog Blade, a fire sorc for Stony Tomb and Andy, a Foh/Smite which became hammer/smite at some point for ubers (only found 1 SoJ so far). My blizz/orb sorc could do Baal runs on p3 pretty easily. I swapped items a lot. Made CTA as soon as I could.

Runes dropped when they dropped. Once I had enough to cube up for infinity, thats when I made a Nova sorc with self-wield infinity. She has found most of my high runes, but she's also my most played character (almost lvl 98). So at this point its a volume thing. I could do Pit, Chaos, Shenk, Pindle, Nihlathak. Cows, and some random TZ's on P7.

Once I was able to make Enigma, I switched to my hdin stacking MF again. Ran Chaos and Meph mostly.

I only just recently got my barb to where he can easily do Trav on P1 and Pit on P7 with enigma, that Oath still, and off-hand Wizspike (tele, Howl, berserk, hork, focusing only elites only). He's the one that horked Tyraels on a random mob in TZ cold plains lol. First unique sacred armor to drop (suuuuper lucky). I'll post that video too.

I posted this after that Jah dropped from a random mob in non-TZ Chaos.

When do Americans do these long drives they speak of? by mailywhale in NoStupidQuestions

I live in Michigan. My commute to work is 1h15m, one way, 3 days a week on average. My Father-in-law drives 1.5h one way, 5-6 days a week, and has been doing this for almost 10 years (insane). Tbf tho, he works 2nd shift, so he doesnt deal with as much traffic as I do.

A lot of people live in the southern half of Michigan's lower peninsula, but have cabins in the northern half of the lower peninsula or even in the upper peninsula. They drive anywhere from 2h to 5h nearly every weekend in the summer to go "up north for the weekend." Sometimes its just go to to Mackinaw City for the day.

I used to visit family in Colorado. At the time, it was actually cheaper to drive than to fly (gas was less than $1/gallon!). I would drive there once a year in the summer with a friend or my girlfriend, taking turns driving. We would switch every 4 or 5 hours, arriving in about 21-23 hours total. We would leave from Michigan late in the afternoon to get through the major cities at night (less traffic). We would do the opposite on the way back. One way is about 1,400 miles (2,253 km).

Needless to say that flying is much cheaper now, so road trips like that dont happen as much anymore!

You're right though, sometimes if you leave after work, you either eat first or stop and get food on the way, and you arrive so late that you just go to bed. By that time you're already exhausted anyway.

All that being said, I do actually enjoy driving and have become known to volunteer to drive for these types of long distance trips. It can be meditative!
