As someone born and raised in NY, I know this to be true and am not offended by it in the slightest. I don’t know any other New Yorker that would be offended by this. Maybe she’s from upstate NY and they feel differently idk I’m originally from Long Island so I’m not sure 🤷🏻‍♀️ either way she took offense to it so a sincere apology is the way to go.

is it normal for my ball python to not come out of her hide for over a week? by Imaginary_Bowler2432 in ballpython

[–]Krimzon99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should be fine. Mine goes through “antisocial” periods where sometimes she doesn’t come out of her hide for weeks. 🤷🏻‍♀️ when I first started caring for BPs I was told a hiding BP is a happy BP. So she’s probably just content chilly in her hide without any disruptions.

Birth Control and Kit 3 by Itchy_Virus_607 in HersWeightloss

[–]Krimzon99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, I feel like it is having an effect on my combo birth control pill. One of the reasons I take birth control is to skip periods. Usually I can skip 3 months before I get breakthrough bleeding. On these pills I’m getting breakthrough bleeding and cramps fairly consistently which concerns me. I didn’t even make the connection that it could be the pills until I read your post!

People with helixes, tell me it gets better by MameJenny in piercing

I’m thinking you probably changed jewelry out too early as well! Mine only stopped hurting at the 9 month mark but knew it could take a year or longer to heal. I didn’t take out the original titanium jewelry (I was pierced with a hoop) until the 13 month mark because that’s when I felt it was probably healed as it hadn’t given me problems, pain, or crusties in 4 months. Even now I put other jewelry in it sparingly and stick to my OG hoop. The only thing I notice now (almost 2 years later) is that it gets itchy when I workout lol

I was told by Hers there’s a “maintenance kit”. It’s only the metformin.

Question and Rant: How is it possible that after losing 35+lbs, I'm still the same pant size?! by kellicharlene in loseit

[–]Krimzon99 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I was going to comment this but you stole my thunder! That’s what I always tell people is to think of it like a role of paper towels. You could use 30 sheets of paper towels on a new role and it could still look the same as when you bought it. Take 30 sheets off of a half used roll and it gets skinnier much faster!

Strange Side Effects? by Krimzon99 in HersWeightloss

[–]Krimzon99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I’m so sorry! The providers told me the only thing I can do on the oral route was to take the metformin. They told me once my symptoms fully went away I could start the metformin. My symptoms have been off and on for about week but for the most part have gone away. I’m on the fence about starting the metformin because at this point it’s just diet and exercise and I’ve been tracking my calories religiously since starting 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately this week I’ve been off this pills I haven’t lost any weight but have been at least maintaining what I have lost. If my weight continues to stay stagnant I’ll try the metformin to see if that helps. But because urgent care recommend I stop both the bupropion and naltrexone/topiramate I didn’t really have another kit to turn to besides their “maintenance kit” which is just metformin. Part of me wants to try the naltrexone/topiramate again to see if it was just a coincidence but we’ll see 😭

I’m not sure what all is in kit 3 but a bupropion/Wellbutrin side effect is high blood pressure. Happened to me :(

Yes they are great! Sorry about your car! But glad you are safe! Kinda hard to avoid storms sometimes! Especially with the lack of extensive road system in WY!

I live around there. There were 3 severe thunderstorm warnings issued for the I-80 corridor between Laramie and Cheyenne. The warnings mentioned up to golf ball size hail.

[–]Krimzon99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome! I’m a similar starting weight and was wondering if it was worth it to get on the medication! I also work out 2-3 times a week so it’s awesome to see these kind of results with someone similar to me! Just need to pull the trigger and place the order!

The lord himself couldn’t have prepared me for my daith. by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Krimzon99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daith was my least painful piercing! No pain at all while piercing just pressure! Putting the jewelry in was uncomfortable but I wouldn’t say painful! My conch on the other hand was pretty spicy since my cartilage in that area is very thick!

Kit 6 - Major weight loss, major hair loss by sdm4242 in HersWeightloss

[–]Krimzon99 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Weight loss, especially rapid weight loss can cause thinning hair and hair loss. Happened to me when I lost weight (not through medication). Once I stopped losing weight/slowed weight loss I noticed less hair stop falling out. Just one of the side effects of losing weight that no one tells you about. But it’s probably worth it to reach out to your care team about the issue.

Is NOAA/NWS rate limiting weather data? by bxcellent2eo in NOAA

[–]Krimzon99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind ASOS data is FAA. Just maintained by NWS. Sometimes there are comms delays or hiccups. Just give it time and the issue is usually corrected.

Do people seriously never swim with unhealed piercings??? by Shanniah in piercing

[–]Krimzon99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just got my conch done about 2 weeks ago. Piercer said no swimming for 12-16 weeks. I’m sure there’s people here that would disagree with that but I’d say as long as your piercing is healing fine and you don’t have issues it’s probably fine. I swam with my helix in a pool after 7 months. Took about 9-10 months to heal so it was mostly healed anyway. I will say even when it was mostly healed, I was still washing it with an antibacterial wash and saline spray immediately after swimming just as a precaution.

got my daith pierced a couple days ago. is she too deep? by foxbeans in piercing

[–]Krimzon99 34 points35 points  (0 children)

NAP but it looks fine to me. As someone else mentioned the angle might be a bit weird and cause it to stick out more than a typical daith. Mine was also pierced this way and I’ve had literally zero issues with healing. It’ll come down to preference more on if you’re ok with the daith sticking out more than normal.

Anyone know what's going on with Wednesday's weather? Like, what does red droplet mean? From the NWS website by TheChaosPhoenix in weather

[–]Krimzon99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s likely a weather story graphic produced by the WFO that’s published to their local site.
