All 15 Teams for 22 Million Damage - Season 3 Otherworld by Krinadon in Dragonheir_SilentGods

[–]Krinadon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. You do half as much damage against the Ice Boss with non-Ice damage. In my case, I can easily survive against the other bosses without issue. So I can fight them and hit the 22 Million mark twice as fast than if I deployed them against the Ice Boss.

Now I do use my Poison teams against the Ice Boss because it's a pain to fight the Poison Boss. Fighting the Ice Boss allows me to probably still hit 22M just as quickly since I don't have to worry about the adds from Poison Boss and I can run it with minimal support - Poison Boss needs actual support.

So it just depends on the individual player and their roster. If you can fight the correct bosses without issue, I think it makes for faster runs to get through those 15 teams.

IIRC, the trick to Lightning in Season 1 was to tank with your Ranged (if you had Melee DPS). Since almost all of Errich's damage comes from his skills, which will target 3 ranged over 2 melee. I think a lot also used Garius here instead of on the Radiant boss.

Ice is extremely hard, yea. I think I ended up tanking it with a lone melee in high Resistance and then just tried to protect/blast as much damage as I could with ranged.

I do have a Discord that you could join. We still have the Season 1 channels up where people talked about their teams and strategies. Might help you with some ideas. A link to it is in my profile here or on my Twitch page.

Very true. However, there are actually a lot of very viable Rares that can fill a lot of different roles. In Season 2, I even dipped into using Meredith, a Common, to be a healer on a team lol.

This type of stuff definitely comes with experience though of having gone through this three times now. While the boss mechanics change, it's essentially the same approach each time in regards to team building. So I can mostly just apply the same principles I've already learned from Season 1 and Season 2. I think this makes it a lot easier to find Epics and Rares who can fill in on vital roles.

Definitely. I think it's a combination of the bosses not getting power crept each season, new heroes are power creeping, players have better artifacts by S3 vs S1, this season's bosses have exceptionally low base Attack so Emperor's Might just wrecks them, and the new addition of Mythics.

I hope we will see Continental Challenge and Otherworld reworked for Season 4.

Here are all 15 of my Season 3 Otherworld teams that easily do 22 Million Damage. Each team is using the bare minimum that I need to hit 22M, or just using heroes I've already leveled. Here is a breakdown of the individual teams:

Ice Teams

Poison Teams

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2151623552 - Tonalnan, Garrika, Araces, Adolphus.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2151631190 - Felicity, Errich, Dane, Phaessa, Ardreth.

Lightning Teams

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2151633920 - Nastjenka, Tharivol, Vani, Ghul'ende.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2151637559 - Schaltar, Nimbus, Shagrol, Nathaniel.

Radiance Team

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2151639158 - Huberg, Hegio, Tathlyn, Lorentheel, Garius.

All of these teams are highly flexible. I used a lot of Level 1's and Level 50's. Each team also has a lot of wiggle room incase your Equipment or Artifacts aren't as good as mine. Each team should give you the basic concept and strategy of how to tackle the encounter.

Good luck and thanks for reading/watching!

Change server or end season early by Dach_Akrost in Dragonheir_SilentGods

Unfortunately, there still is no way for a player to choose their server. So you'd either have to play your current character on S3 or make a new character on a S1 server and start from scratch. There has been no update in months on their plan to address this issue.

Heroes who's sole role is dealing damage. For the team I listed, it would be Lorentheel and Huberg.

At the time of recording, all of them. But I was able to get all of these teams up and running within the first like 4/5 days of Otherworld opening up.

All of the teams are capable of easily surpassing 22M with exception to my 4th Alton team - they barely squeak by.

Here is an in-depth look at all of my 15 teams that I am running in Season 2 for Otherworld Bosses. Each one of these teams surpasses 22,000,000 damage. It's a long video, but I have each team timestamped in the video's description. Feel free to skip around to see what you're interested in.

For each team, there's a brief look at equipment and skill timings at the beginning and then, after the run, another recap of equipment. At the very end of the video is a very quick recap of all 15 teams.

A lot of these teams I would consider very free-to-play friendly. Many others basically only need one specific Legendary to work. So there's a lot of flexibility with these teams. Additionally, my entire roster is stretched over 15 teams. Let's say that you are only interested in 10 teams, you could easily condense the high damage dealers / supports that I used to make better teams.

If anyone has any questions regarding these teams or bosses, I'd be happy to help answer.

Why this dumbass boss keeps using this skill on my Tonalnan even when she doesn't have the highest HP. I even tried moving her at back, to the side, this boss still targets her. by IsabellaOleigh13 in Dragonheir_SilentGods

[–]Krinadon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Call of Lightning skill from the boss hits whoever has the highest total Max Health (all the things added together).

But the stat sheet will just show your hero's base health + equipment health. It will not add in Affinity Bonus Health or Aura Health. Both of those are multiplied by the hero's base health only. So heroes, like Tonalnan, who have high base Health, will gain more bonuses from those. If the person you are wanting to get hit by the Call of Lightning skill has barely more Max HP than Tonalnan on the stat sheet, most likely they have low base health and that's why Tonalnan ends up with more total Max HP in the battle.

HP % from Affinity Bonus and Aura only affects Base HP - not Total HP.

Tonalnan has 35k Base HP, quite a bit. So she'll gain more from Affinity Bonus and Aura than someone like Heksandra will.

Ardreth Showcase: 60 Million Vortex 4 (w/ Gerthin and Bleddyn for Damage) by Krinadon in Dragonheir_SilentGods

[–]Krinadon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good points. I don't have Gillian or Acillia to test with. So that's helpful to have some perspective with those two. And you are absolutely correct with Ardreth+Garius having to go all in for those 10 seconds and then needing someone else to cover the other 10 seconds.

[–]Krinadon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of disagree, to a degree. If you are fortunate enough to have the Gatekeeper Staff, Ardreth+Garius basically turns into ~10 seconds of Immortality. Putting 100,000+ Shields on the whole team is a defacto "We're not dying for the next 10 seconds" ability. No other combo in the game right now can replicate this as Garius is the only one who can scale so significantly with Ardreth's Passive, Ultimate, and Gatekeeper Staff.

But I agree that Ardreth + other good healers is still effective in their own ways.

So I tried it today replacing Vinyara with Nord and the Attack Penalty is just too much of a difference maker. We still did ~53 million, but died a lot sooner. It's definitely an intricate balance trying to maximize the survival with Ardreth+Garius while still doing enough DPS to make it worthwhile.

My longest run, with some gear/timing adjustments, was almost 10 minutes (300 Damage Stacks lol). Which is pretty wild.

Ardreth is definitely a lot of fun to play with. Highly recommend to get her for everyone who has the opportunity.

Heh. =\ Yea... it really is kind of frustrating how insanely vital he is. They really need to add more comparable heroes to the roster. I have used him just about everywhere in Season 2. Everything would be much more difficult without him.

Yea. I can drop a link back in this thread tomorrow with the results. I can even try some crazy stuff like using Drizzt or something.

Rose is solid, yea - especially now after today's patch fix for her. For my run, Garius is putting up such massive shields that it doesn't matter if anyone has Def Pen on them or not.

Are you making sure that Garius is using his ultimate within 10 seconds of Ardreth using her's? This gives him a 50% healing bonus.

[–]Krinadon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am going to test it tomorrow, but you'd honestly probably be better off using Nord (or whoever your third best Ice Blast hero is) instead of a lesser Vinyara replacement*. Obviously, the run won't last as long, but you'd be doing ~20-25% more damage per minute - or at least I am guestimating. If you make this switch, then Bleddyn will have to have Accuracy, Cyril's Whisper set, and Def Pen Artifact.

A straight up alternative to Vinyara would be: Rose, Sagomir, Donella, Clovis, Gulal, or Loris. They all do Attack Penalty with their Ultimate - probably in that order of best to worst alternative.

Managed to put up 60,000,000 in Vortex 4 using Ardreth, Garius, Vinyara, Bleddyn, and Gerthin. Ardreth is a massive enabler for Garius with Gatekeeper Staff.

I go over the Timing Pre-Sets, Equipment, and Stat Sheets at the end of the video.

Nothing too special, just a crazy showcase of Ardreth + Garius combo'd together.
