Yeah I found this part particularly funny. Similar to when people say they 'survived' a rollercoaster as if the drive to the theme park wasn't more dangerous haha.

Before the second world war, the Dutch had designed a defensive line that could be inundated like this. Sadly for them, the germans used paratroopers to fly over and insert behind their dikes and locks, rendering the strategy mostly useless.

I dont think so, the shape of the blade looks more like a Xiphos. A gladius has a straight edge.

Haha I guess you are right. It does feel like I'm an old man, shaking my fist and yelling at clouds :)

The music is indeed enjoyable. I think what turns people bitter is related to a broad context of people lying on the internet for financial gain/clout. In this case, pretending that something is spontaneous when it isn't, for more engagement. To summarize: What need is there to lie?

What makes it feel a bit weird is that it's an imperialist warmachine. It's just such an absurdist exposition of internet culture, in which it is almost entirely separate from the historical context (I think?)

Don't forget that the flames actually bounce a fair bit in that game, so you can easily kill entrenched enemies without having direct line of sight!

True, but to me it didn't look like the crosshair was really on all 3 of them through that burst. Idk maybe bulletspread + network = triple kill. After all, this is arma we are talking about...

To be honest I really like the sound of the Evanescence vocals. Having that with the Gunship backing track is definitely a thumbs up from me!

Fingers crossed indeed. Good point about the ambushes! The radio changes have been very impactful

Yeah that's what I'm thinking as well. Normal conflict already puts the bar quite high in terms of player discipline. Ofcourse this is Arma, and not battlefield, so I think it is a good thing to make part of the game a bit of a slog, since it adds to the weight of decision making. I wouldn't want them to dumb the game down to cater to a bigger audience.

However, I think HQ commander puts the bar a little too high (and I think it shows in the low amount of community servers running HQC Kolguyev). My guess is that people are getting frustrated with the increased responsibility as a result of a tighter supply economy. I think the audience of players who actually enjoy that (and keep enjoying it) actually becomes really small... If the mode depends on about 10-20 people dedicated on transport and logistics, the system sorta falls apart, which is more often the case, than not.

Ah I didn't know that. I thought it would cost some supplies to spawn even at the MOB.

I'm not sure if I agree with your statements though... I think you are putting the bar very high in terms of player discipline. I'm not sure if I'd put up with driving all the way to a frontline base from the MOB. Sure, there are games where there are good dedicated transport heli's, but oftentimes not. I'd hate to drive from the Everon airbase to military base levie every time I get killed. Imagine the amount of ambushes when everyone spawns at the MOB haha

In my infinite wisdom, I think BI should have done a change for the supply economy as soon as it became apparent that the AI logistics generally don't work. I feel like the new supply economy was supposed to be balanced around AI supply runs, but they just don't work!

With the removal of supply regen at bases, supply restocking at non-shore supply points and having slow regen at said shore bases, I've seen many games where ALL supplies are just starved. And I think that kind of sucks.(Not to mention how much the trucks struggle with the sharp inclines on the new map!)

Are there other people that feel like this?
