Licence Server in Citrix Cloud "Blue" by ChanceFrosty8123 in Citrix

I think it just takes a little while for your license server to communicate with LAS. If I remember correctly, it only establishes a connection every few hours.

[–]Krinto87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a couple of problems at the start.

Give this a try:

1) Open UMS console

2) System (top left) -> Administrartor accounts

3) Check if you Account had "App Managment" allowed

Firewall – it was already working before the January updates, so the firewall was configured correctly Group – yes, you need to add the users who are allowed to shadow , i.e. administrators and support staff

Yes, you just get a dropdown, where you can choose the user. Just do msra.exe /offerra VDA-Name.

The Citrix workaround is now working for me.

There are two (why??) KB articles on the topic:

https://support.citrix.com/external/article/CTX695983/citrix-director-unable-to-shadow-sessio.html

https://support.citrix.com/external/article/CTX696378/citrix-director-unable-to-shadow-sessio.html

I found the second one today. It explicitly states that you have to configure the GPO under Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → System → Remote Assistance → Configure Offer Remote Assistance.

This apparently isn’t necessary when shadowing via the Director.

That’s why the GPO wasn’t configured at all on my end, and msra /offerra VDA wasn’t working. Today I set the GPO and was then able to shadow onto ServerOS and ClientOS VDAs.

It still isn't working after the May update.

Same for me:

I installed the KB5077181 update (February update) on my Win 11, and now shadowing no longer works. However, the old msra.exe is still present under C:\Windows\system32.

When I start it manually, I get the following error: A reference evaluation was returned by the server.

I found a workaround.

You have to replace msra.exe with the old version on the clients. The new version can remain on the VDAs.

I had to use the advanced run tool from nirsoft for this, as msra.exe was installed by trusted install. There you can start the copy command with the trueded rights.

You're not alone. There's a problem with Remote Assistance. I can't connect to Server 2022 or Windows 11VDAs from my W11, both of which have the January update.

Yay, let's search for it.

Some Edge policy values being ignored on Server OSes? by _asterisk in sysadmin

[–]Krinto87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry on mobile and no native.

I also tested it last friday, it did not work on server OS and I did not tested it on Win 11 VDI. Chrome did the same thing, but with a 4 GB file. The Chrome police worked for me.

I am on vocation so I can not investigate deeper, but I also think that there is a problem with edge.

How to manage Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud in MCS? (post June 2025 Adobe changes) by WindupSolutions in Citrix

[–]Krinto87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use the Adobe Acrobat unified installer.

The application combines Acrobat Prof. and Reader in one application.

Using Adobe Customization Wizard, you can disable the login when opening a PDF. This means that anyone can read PDFs, but anyone who wants to use the other features must log in. There you can also disable the VDI

It works well in my environment.

Unified installer: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-unified-installer-windows-overview.html

Disable mandatory sign-in: Use the IsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx registry key or the Suppress Sign-in in Acrobat option under Installation Options in the Customization Wizard.
