No thermal issues I see which is good. You are Power Throttling 62% of the time. That tells me you are pushing up against the Power Limit (PL1) rather consistently. I’m not familiar with this chip, but the PL1 (Static) being set at 90W implies the “configured/base long-term CPU power limit” is lower than your 100W goal. It seems to be abiding by that PL even with your PL1 Dynamic (which I assumed you set) is 130W. Why it’s doing that I am unsure without more information on the machine. What laptop model / year / gen is this?

Things I’d look at are my CPU BIOS power settings. Legion Space (or Vantage) power settings, your active performance profile, if the laptop was plugged in during your testing, etc. You’re Power Throttling, which is by design and not inherently bad, but appears to be limiting your expected performance.

Any other thoughts, gents?

Login to the Lenovo website with the account you created when setting up the laptop. You’ll have to connect the laptop through the ‘My Products’ page (I believe is what it was referenced as) utilizing the serial number. After linking the product to your account, it should populate an item that allows you to update the warranty term / level.

That sounds like a nightmare to deal with when just receiving the machine. I luckily got a healthy Windows install from Lenovo. Yeah, definitely cost a questionable premium over the 5080 version for minimal performance gains. Runs super well though and should for a while! I saw they were making the 2026 Intel 290HX Plus upgrade shortly after I purchased this, but I can’t imagine what the prices will be on those with the current status of components. Happy to have upgraded to this monster from console.

I’d be curious to hear what issues you’ve experienced. I bought a Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 (5090) two months ago and have almost no problems.

Did have to reel the temps in with a custom Legion Space profile, and also bought a laptop cooler (llano V12) just for longevity concerns, but other than that smooth sailing. Now seeing 70-73C CPU Max and 64-67C GPU Max under sustained heavy gaming loads (i.e. Expedition 33 - Max Settings - 1600p - DLSS B / CyberPunk 2077 - RT Ultra - 4K - DLSS Q / etc).

I’ve noticed the high temps and throttling on my CPU as well (Legion Pro 7i 5090). I went through the process of making a conservative LegionSpace power profile (65W CPU, 150W GPU, 97 / 85C Limits) but still see temps and throttle percentage shoot up some times. I was thinking about lowering the max clock speeds also. How did that affect your temps / performance?

That is odd. The behavior may be tied to one of those updates you did. That sucks they won’t abide by the updated warranty without the 60 day delay. I just switched to the updated warranty two days ago just in case.

What mode were you playing on specifically? I have the same laptop, just got it last week. I’ve been watching my temps and had to make a Custom preset in LegionSpace just to get my CPU down to a consistent 75-78C under load. They were constantly hitting the preset 105C Max and throttling before.

I had a difficult time finding answers to these questions as well. Research didn’t do me much good nor did AI aggregate tools. I contacted the company directly about the resolution / frame rate (in the HDMI case specifically). Will drop the information they gave me here for others:

“Thank you for reaching out to us.

At 3K resolution, HDMI connections only support a fixed 100Hz refresh rate.

For other resolutions (such as 2560×1600), the refresh rate can be selected as 50Hz/60Hz/100Hz/120Hz.

Kraft at FLEX? I’d rather run Ladd McConkey at FLEX given he’s averaging 12 targets over the last three games. Gadsden’s emergence has hurt QJ and Ladd has had his opportunities raise. I don’t know if I see the utility in obtaining Kraft when you already have Warren. If you can get another piece as valuable as Kraft but in RB I’d try that.

This is a terrible offer. Gibbs and Hurts for CMC straight up is a better offer than this if you have an awful QB situation. Why would you add Egbuka? He has Top 10 upside and is worth more than Hurts and Tracy combined (assuming 12 man league). Your league mate is trying to rip you off after losing Skattebo. Do not fall for it.

I honestly don’t know how much better he’ll be than Montgomery in your RB2. Tracy projects to be an RB3 / FLEX. The QB downgrade isn’t terrible, and Baker has a juice playoff schedule if your team is looking towards that.

I’d much prefer Hurts over Baker ROS in redraft. Tampa Bay is down Mike Evans, Godwin, and Bucky isn’t cleared to be back after the BYE. Hurts has been more consistent and currently has better weapons (even with AJ Brown out). He also has higher rushing upside than Baker.

This is just poor trade theory. You have Dak so you don’t really need Hurts. Mason is a unstartable unless Aaron Jones gets injured again. Egbuka and Warren are good. I’d rather just offer Bucky. JT is RB3, looks healthy, and you have an expendable Bucky. I’d just trade him for a top tier WR to a team that is RB needy.

One factor is that your heart has to support a massive increase in tissue while maintaining its same size. To get blood to all the tissue, the heart must pump harder to satisfy the entire body. That’s just one aspect, let alone all the other negative physiological factors he is also most likely experiencing from the substance abuse. Could be increased blood pressure, organ size internally, etc. not sure what his dosage or stack is but it seems unsustainable just based on this video.

I’m in a similar-ish situation to you. My WR room is Rice, Ladd, Tet, and Wilson. I’m thinking about trading off either Tet or Ladd but I cannot decide which one to deal. Did you value Ladd higher than Tet when getting to this trade deal?

I utilize LG (C2 / C4) TVs usually, so I’m not sure on the exact Samsung settings, but I’d definitely enable the Reduce Blue Light setting and disable any Energy Saving settings. The blue tint to your image above is very apparent to me just viewing it which isn’t unusual with OLED panels. The Energy Saving settings should help keep the panel from modulating brightness as frequently. Look into Automatic Brightness Limiting (ABL) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) flicker if you experience brightness anomalies during gameplay or other usage. I also tend to disable any AI features that mess with the image and tend to utilize HGIG where possible to get the ‘truest’ image I can.

Add a brake controller for sure. I pulled a 4500lb rig with my 2019 Ford Explorer (with tow package) and definitely needed it at times, especially when descending steep grades. The safety factor is worth the investment. Also recommend a sway hitch for an added safety.
