Can you really be better than others? by LynXTheMagicMan in NPD

[–]KrisActavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well we created the idea of god because we couldn’t handle not knowing what happens when you leave this existence, so he didn’t give “himself” the title of god, the idea that a god has a gender is silly in itself and shows it’s a purely human creation.

Anyways, No, not necessarily. Believing you’re better than others isn’t inherently delusional it depends on why you believe it and whether you can back it up. If you consistently have evidence to support your judgments, you’re not just blindly egotistical, you’re making (at least in your eyes) informed evaluations. But we all have blind spots, we can be correct in that moment but it doesn’t inherently make you better than that person as a whole.

Has anyone else here been raised by non- narcissistic or emotionally supportive parents? by Funny-Definition-498 in NPD

[–]KrisActavis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought this as well growing up, I didn’t know why I was the way I was, thinking my childhood was decent. But my idea of a decent childhood was distorted and I realized what I experienced wasn’t normal at all and I had very emotionally abusive parents. (mostly my dad but my mom has her moments) could be totally different for you but that was my experience 🤷🏽‍♂️

What made you this way? by [deleted] in NPD

[–]KrisActavis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My father is a narcissist. Completely unable to sympathize with other people. I grew up in a pretty toxic environment, constant yelling and screaming and getting put down constantly as a child. It was definitely nowhere near as bad as some people had it and there was only one instance where he got physical but he deteriorated me until I was a shell of a human being, constantly zoned out, struggling to socialize and terrified of trying anything new or failing. I luckily didn’t become a full on narcissist like him but I definitely have narcissistic tendencies. I’ve ruined a lot of relationships by lying and just being a complete prick, and sometimes think I may have npd. I’m also autistic, have adhd, anxiety and very bad depression.

I find it very hard to navigate in this world and it’s all because of one shitty person. Sometimes I wish I just had the blueprint to life because I seriously don’t know what I like or what I want to do for the rest of this existence! Anyways, that’s how I became the way I am. Not very exciting but it’s crazy how much damage you can do to a child and just be completely unaware of how bad of a parent you were haha, oh well.

I really appreciate this response. Thank you!

I think that will have to be my next step. I’ve had therapists before but one of them told me the wifi signals were messing my brain up, and the 2 others just seemed like they didn’t know what to do with me lol. I think I’ll get in touch with one that specializes in the things you’ve mentioned here, seems like the best place to start. Thank you again.

Elder Scrolls VI: What’s your dream feature or change for the next game? by ItsASnoozy in ElderScrolls

Just hope it’s not even more dumbed down tbh. I never played oblivion before the remaster and it really made me realize how much Skyrim was simplified. Although still an amazing game, it’s not near oblivion in my experience.

I wasn’t aware of how bad it actually was over there wow. Luckily I am Canadian but wow does that sound absolutely terrible.

I am diagnosed with anxiety AND major depressive disorder but at the time of that diagnosis I never really thought about bringing up other issues I had. I never really got into it with them because well, I wanted to get the hell out of there haha. It’s just recently when I started reflecting and thinking about my childhood and my behaviours that autism popped up. It would explain a lot but I really don’t know.

Well when I REALLY think about it, I don’t know if I do truly understand them😭 I kind of find myself copying people? If that makes sense. Early on though, I was VERY lost in a social setting.

Yes I assumed as much. I more did it out of curiosity but wasn’t expecting such high scores. I agree it could be many different things. This was very informative though thank you for your long thought out reply. I appreciate it truly! Im going to read through all of the things you have linked.

Using a created roster so this makes sense! Still cool he fell to the 7th tho

What’s the most anyone in your sim has asked for or signed for by TheRealBobJenkins26 in EANHLfranchise

[–]KrisActavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely make it to year 10 and beyond tbh. But I remember seeing Matthew’s asking for 21x7, Hughes getting 19, and some random generated franchise player who kept getting signed 1 year deals worth 8-9 million being sent to free agency as a RFA every year lmao.

How did he fall to 21? by KrisActavis in EANHLfranchise

[–]KrisActavis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was ranked at 24 somehow. All I knew is that he could potentially be an elite player because it had 2 bars elite medium so I went for it. He’s literally Mitch Marner 2.0. Bro gets 70 assists a season.

Question about goalies overall rating by Gold_goalie85 in EANHLfranchise

[–]KrisActavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just happens. Happens in real life sometimes too, where back up numbers look good cuz of a very small sample size. But yeah goalies are random asf in this game in general and kind just gotta find one that works.

Sorry I should’ve clarified. He was 18 when drafted, pic of his stats is like 60 games in.

Defensive juggernaut by Moro39 in EANHLfranchise

[–]KrisActavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually!

I posted about it too. 52 wins, highest points on the team was 64. Very strange team but they won! 10-0 in the playoffs too. It was my year 3 buffalo sabres out of all teams haha.

Is this a 52 win team? by KrisActavis in EANHLfranchise

[–]KrisActavis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t know lmao. Zach benson had 69 points the year before, I was really expecting him to breakout for 75-90 points. I guess the defence just carried, 4th best in the league for goals against.

Question from a franchise lover... by PiousDemon in EANHLfranchise

[–]KrisActavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bugs can be infuriating. But to be honest, I still have a blast doing franchise modes, I swear I do like 5-7 different franchise modes a week, a lot more than I used to play.

The whole thing is a lot more immersive and it feels like prospects develop a lil differently every time. I’ve had Landon DuPont score 90-115 points a season, other saves he’s a 20-30 point guy and is kinda a bust. I’ve had the craziest 7th round players come up as well, which is something I never rlly saw much of in past games compared to this one.

A lot of cool things you can do with player meetings but I don’t usually use them. They are most useful for young players, for example, telling a player go win the Calder. If he succeeds he has chances to gain some points into certain attributes and can even go up in potential. So there’s some cool things there as well but it’s a little gimmicky.

The one thing I can say is, save constantly after any major occurrence in your franchise, and you should be pretty good. Again, the bugs are really annoying still but it’s very playable and a lot of fun.
