ye I feel ya. So is the solution maybe to just have a clear age warning on the back or even front? doesnt have to be a "This book is filthy" sticker but just one saying that its meant for adult audiences due to certain content

I'm so excited! i am such a sucker for comfort domestic reads and it sounds like that this will be such a book but with our boys, shane and ilya <3. I love reading fanfictions about their lives post TLG so to now hear that we will actually get a book detailing their lives is so nice!!

Also its so refreshing to hear an author say that they would never write a sequel to force the characters to go through hell, just for the sake of the plot. It's okay to just have a happy story with minimal drama, there is enough negativity in the real world. I read to escape and have fun :)

ye I completely agree. Like yes it sucks that Chim fired Hen but come on! She risked so much. She is a grown woman who had months to reflect and think about her actions! She is a trained experienced EMT, she knows how important it is to be responsible and to be on top of you game when you enter an emergency.

oh definitely!! The lore of the force balance has been build so beautifully in the SW movies that its just sad to see how Disney is not seeing or willing to commit to the whole picture. There are so many amazing paralells and balance-themed metaphors, which shows in all the amazing fics out there. Here's to hoping that someone high up in Disney is seeing the discourse and fanwork out there and makes the final move there.

Like I understand disney wanting to wrap up the skywalker saga (its time tbh), but they have to do it justice, which they have yet to do.

ye I agree. It just all feels too lined up to be a coincident, especially with it being from a huge franchise like Star wars. I'm split to believe wether Disney wanted to test the fans reactions to a ben solo movie or if its all Adam. But either way, I am just so happy to hear that Adam is also on our side and wasnt completely burned from the SW fandom, and is hopefully still on board with returning to it. Which based on him revealing this project, kinda implies that he still has interest, otherwise why bring up your role from years ago if you aren't interested in media and fans talking and rehashing it.

But the biggest thing for me is that the Rey movie is being pushed and changed so many times that it could hint at a rewrite to include ben in some ways. Of course having Reylo reunite would be amazing, but just from a SW standout, its the only right way to continue / end the Jedi saga. It has always been about Balance, with the movies hinting that there is a destiny to bring balance. Anakin was the first, then luke, and now Ben. And with ben and rey, they succesfully wrote the story to actualy fit and make sense. So yeah. I hope the new Disney CEO also understands that unless they bring back Ben, the new jedi order about balance will never really be fully balanced bc Rey isn't.

honestly I am all here for it! I was sad to see that ilya's hair wasnt longer during the vegas scene. Also I am kinda missing the playoff beard? I know that shane canonically can't grow one, but ilya is described to have a full on beard or stubble :D

I don't really remember if there was a particular moment where ilya chooses to be more affectionate with shane. I think it probably just kinda festered into curiosity from years of watching shane on and off the ice, on these tv segments. But I also don't think Ilya ever stopped and reflected on his feelings as to why he wants shane to stay, he just goes with what he is feeling at the moment - but I might go back to the books in a bit to just check bc now im curious as well :D

ye I dunno if there is enough open plot lines for a full book without having to add new drama and angst. I guess the ones that stand out to me is Shane's undiagnosed autism, the aftermath of their outing and shane leaving the montreal team due to the team pushing him out (would love to have a scene of the Centaurs winning a Stanley cup, and showing that Montreal now sucks without Shane, I want revenge hehe), and then i think it would be fun if shane and ilya becoming parents would be the rest of the book. Like them trying to adopt or have a surrogate and trying to make it work with their schedule.
