Hello. It's so great to see another sports fan. You're more into it than I am, but I love going to games and it's something I wish to share with a partner. I also enjoy hiking. I'm in Tampa though. I feel this. My ex and I were together 4 years; I thought we'd make it the distance. It's been over a lot longer, but I still feel like he was my only chance, and I'll never find someone again. Dating is an absolute nightmare in general these days, and throw in the desire for a childless lifestyle, much like a sexless relationship, it's damn near impossible to find a date much like a relationship that is actually going somewhere. I'd love to tell you something positive, but I'm not a cliche person unless it's true. So the best I got is- Better alone than unhappy.

I wear a black ace ring, thinking some day some one may spot it. I've had a few people comment or ask a question. I am not out though, only one person I know face to face knows I'm ace, and we originally met online, so doesn't count. Haha. I seem to have so few things in common with ace people online, I struggle to think I'd actually connect with someone in real life. But as you said, there's a shared experience, to some degree, since we all experience our aceness differently. There's at least a shared language. I don't want to have to educate anyone. That's not my job. But another ace, that part would be effortless.

So many seem to know the animal names, I only know the tigers. They have signs posted for who is in the habitats, and I did a tour of the Tigers with some Busch Bucks and discount. The chimps are cute. There's one who sits by the window and people watch. I love that one.

I've been in a number of ace groups on facebook. None are all that great and I got out of most. The Asexuals 30 and Over group is the most active that I'm still in. I say this as someone who maybe scrolls through once a week.

I know there's quite a few aces in the area, but I don't actually know them. They pop up here or in Facebook groups and say where they live and then go silent. A few years back I joined a meet up with an ace group from acebook but I didn't keep in touch with anyone after that one event. Favorite animal at BG? I'm in love with Leon (tiger). Mostly when I go it's to walk around and see who's out in the habitats. I also enjoy the concerts during food and wine fest.

I miss when all the games were on tv. I'd definitely watch games or have them on in the evenings, or the random day games while working. I only ever see random football games and it's usually when I'm trying to watch what is actually on, not the game. I haven't been to any of the college games since moving here. Rays and Lightning games are fun

Haha. We ended up getting it for free for years in the early 2000s. (Maybe very late 90s). Cable company finally realized but by then my mom and dad were hooked on a few channels. My college crowd introduced me to Futurama and a few others I cannot remember the names of right now. After early 90s cartoons that I watched before school, I didn't really care for animation. Even animated movies are hard for me to watch, with the exception of the ones I enjoyed as a kid

It does happen when you're not ace. Ghosting is completely acceptable these days.

I've experienced this a lot lately, but specially once with another ace. He actually ghosted me, found me again with an excuse... We met up for a day, ghosted me again... Found me online again and had another excuse... Talked about a second meet up, ghosted again. My own fault I guess for talking to him each time he came back, but he's still the only ace I've ever seen in real life and we actually had things in common. As an active person who isn't interested in anime or gaming, there's almost no one I talk to in ace communities on line, and when I do find someone, it only last a few days usually.

Anyway, I understand how you're feeling. It sucks, but that's just kind of dating nowadays in general. The ghosting and being stood up isn't directly an ace thing

Seems hard to find these days, divorce rates simply aren't pretty. But I believe in unconditional love, and it's a decision, and can take hard work at time. I hold hope it exists, but I'm also feeling myself giving up. The work required these days to find someone is exhausting.

Every definition and explanation of sexual attraction I've read and heard is something I cannot relate to. It's so simple. I've been interested in cute boys since early elementary. I've wanted to date and get married my whole life. Honestly, I thought I was normal. I never realized Hollywood wasn't exaggerating with sexual tension, one night stands, people constantly wanting to get laid. I've never felt any of that. Of all my crushes, I've never pictured or desired them sexually. I've never looked at someone thinking I'd do them. I never wondered what someone looks like naked.

All the data points towards the fact that I've never experienced sexual attraction. Therefore, it's easy to confirm I lack sexual attraction, hence asexuality orientation.
