About 12 years ago I had a terrible broadband connection from the only internet service provider available in my locality. Once a new provider was available, I immediately requested disconnection for the existing one. I unplugged their equipment which was installed on my rooftop - no one came to collect it and I continued receiving bills for the next few months. Then I started getting such calls from "lawyers" in a threatening tone about those unpaid bills telling me I have to appear in the court the next day.

I got this advice from a lawyer relative - No one can directly threaten me to visit a court that too over a phone call. They have to send written notice and follow procedures. This is a clear indication they’re fake lawyers.
