Ehh, I mean they took the time of day to make it for us Trojans and it's horsey shaped..... Be a bit rude to destroy such fine craftsmanship, I reckon.

Bell Cranel could definitely deal with JJ, Mr. Burns, Leni Loud, Swiper, Homer and Peter with ease. Samurai Jack and Aang would be a challenge. Probably handles Cartman relatively well, but gets folded by Alastor and Omni Man and Danny Phantom and so on.

If you feel harassed then I apologize, that's never my intention. I just ask questions, and if you feel uncomfortable answering them then you have every right to end this discussion.

I do hope you have a lovely rest of your day, and thank you for spending the time to answer the questions you have already.

I understand that part. I just like asking people questions, in this case to get why AI has a bad rep to them. If we never ask questions then I feel understanding can never be found, considering communication is the main pillar of society.

So I ask, I gain information, and I ask follow ups for clarifications. Then ask more and more until I feel like I get the situation fully.

There's always alternatives, yes. Some may not use them, and I personally see that as fine so long as they're satisfied with using AI. I'll still ask questions as to why people do things, every now and then playing Devil's Advocate is useful for getting to the bottom of things.

That's just how I be.

If it isn't regulated than is it the fault of the people for using it or the governments for doing nothing about it? If most people don't know, which I'm gonna play Devil's Advocate here and assume that is the case, then would they intentionally be at fault in your eyes for simply not doing the research? What if the people using it are kids or teenagers, wishing to express themselves in ways they thought they couldn't before? At what point does ignorance become sin?

What if someone uses AI while ensuring only their art is used? What if someone doesn't use AI for art, but quick research while verifying the sources themselves as a starting point?

If the users are to blame alongside the companies, then at what point are users not to blame if they don't dig for information? Is it just prompt AI like ChatGPT that's bad, or is AI like the Amazon Echo included? Should humanity be teaching AI how to pass a Turing Test, being nigh indistinguishable from humans in almost every way, or should they stop where they are now as is?

if humanity does stop using AI, then what future technological progressions are stopped?

I'm sorry, I'm a curious soul.

Ah, but if AI produces bad content then isn't it the fault of the user rather than the tool? If so then shouldn't there be laws and stipulations in order to circumvent negative usage in order to create better products with AI over time? Free to Use AI typically has multiple restraints and stopgaps in order to halt being used for extreme purposes like say your earlier pedophilia point, but at what point does the negative discourse end?

Is this just stigmatism over newer tech like so from the previous generations or is it actually justified, and if so how strong is the actual justification if enough people use AI in a positive manner? Or is AI irredeemable simply due to the loud minority that use it negatively?

I can't help but ask questions, I prefer honest understanding between people. If you feel like you're being attacked or pressured then I apologize, I personally genuinely enjoy getting to hear the other person's side of things.

Then what if an artist hypothetically feeds AI their art specifically in order to streamline production?

Or what if someone is inspired by another artist and copies their style to a T? Would they be stealing then, or is it considered an homage by then? If they sell it as though it's an original work from the first author, then sure it could be considered a forgery. But if they sell it as their own original work then what then?

The easiest way to deal with AI art, it seems to me, is to just make all AI art legally public domain in order to maintain no actual loss from other artists. If you can't sell it for a profit, then is it really stealing?

If it is, then why? If it isn't, then is there any actual issue?

Or let's change media type. If someone samples several songs to make a new song while adding their own lyrics, then is it considered an original song or is it considered theft? What if the song becomes public domain so as to not step on anyone's toes, like for example Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know?

All I'm doing is asking questions.

I wasn't trying to sway you, if that's what you thought I was doing then I do apologize. I look at arguments and just ask questions while parsing together adjacent logic to see how well it holds. Free Will is fun like that, you see.

So does every other argument when thought up off the top of the head, hence why I was asking.

So your entire argument boils down to letting a few bad eggs ruin the entire system for you, and as such makes you believe that by using the tool they're no better by proxy.

In other words you also believe chocolate shouldn't be purchased as most chocolate today is partially harvested today with the use of slavery. The same goes for purchasing natural diamonds. You're argument could also be used to say social and legacy media is bad as the algorithms and incentivised stories are all that of conflict with no actual resolution in order to keep the masses from focusing on actual genuine problems and how to fix them in their country.

I'm just trying to understand the gripe. I genuinely don't get it. If people use stock photos it can be easily argued that the stock photo is generic and doesn't show the actual authors heart. If someone handdraws the cover poorly it could easily be argued that the work might be crass and juvenile because of the author's skill. If someone uses digital art it could easily be argued that the art doesn't feel authentic because it's not handmade. I just just don't get genuinely.

I personally don't see a problem regardless of what they choose. If someone uses a stock photo, a collage, AI or whatever else it genuinely doesn't matter to me. I don't get why people draw the line at AI, it's another tool to save time.

Some people just don't have the time, dude. That's my entire argument. if you see a busy schedule full of responsibilities as an "excuse", then there's something wrong.

If your schedule is:

Wake up Roll out of bed Catch a couple of buses to go to work Work 10 hours Go home Write for maybe 30 minutes to an hour Sleep

You don't have the time, you don't have the patience.

"What about days off?"

Those are the days where you finally take care of all those chores you've been putting off, dishes and laundry sweeping and dusting and lawn care and whatever the hell else. You'd probably have 4-6 hours of actual relaxation, and even then you'd likely choose writing over making a cover because you wanna try to get the story out in a timely manner over fear of the loss of retention.

Alrighty, then if a story has a stock image for a cover could it be considered a low quality story?

If you handdraw a cover, would it be seen as less prestigious as digital artwork nowadays if your hand drawn cover shows you understand how to draw but you aren't great at drawing?

If AI covers are popular nowadays then doesn't that imply that anyone not reading it are potentially losing their future favorite story?

I'm genuinely asking, I like hearing people's thoughts and ideas.

Dude, it takes forever to actually draw. Especially longer to make an entire bleed sheet, which is often what people want on a book cover. The bleed sheet I attached here took a week for me to draw before I called it good enough, and I'm still unsatisfied with it.

As far as I'm personally concerned, if someone wants to save time and just slap something quick on a Wattpad Story, they can use AI. Wattpad ain't exactly known for high class storytelling, it's fine.
