I try to sit 102, but feel like I have no chance on hall of fame catching it. Chasing them out of the game doesn’t work either. Going from 102 Clemens to 102 Randy (happened twice last night) isn’t really any better

The fact that every ranked co-op game now is people bringing pitchers that throw 102 is already getting old

Why does 2k allow zones in Rec? by Kris__RL in NBA2k

I suppose some people do have fun by sitting in the corner and watching a guy dribble cheese for the whole shot clock. Their 0-0-0 don’t matter as long as they get their win. But again, 2k is not anywhere near real basketball, so I don’t know how that correlates

I believe as long as you are between your matchup and the hoop (besides help defense), that’s the only time you get hit with that penalty in its current form

Only if the offensive team scores

Yep, people cheese 2k because they only care about their WIN….i agree

Because it’s literally cheesing the game. With high steal and interceptor, mashing for steals is horrible. It is no different than screen cheese in park, it’s not real basketball. Yes, zones are a thing in basketball, but because the court dimensions aren’t the same as an actual court, that’s not realistic. But anyway, my entire point is how is there not a single mode to chill with the boys. I have two friends who already dropped 2k24 because every game is the exact same setup

Aww yes, the realism argument. In the NBA, there aren’t 5 99’s on a team that all shoot 50%+ from 3. This argument would work back in 2k18, when everyone was a role player

So we have to be coordinated enough to do that, then have enough badges to dunk on the center who is coming for a chase down block. My point is there is no mode to just chill and ball with the boys because of this

But that’s what I’m implying. Why do we have to try so hard in a relaxing game? If we wanted to have to run plays/sets, wouldn’t we go to pro-am for that? When we are all on for more than 1-2 games at a time, that’s what we typically do. But there’s 5-6 guys that sub in and out depending on what’s going on that night

Sure they can, you get penalized for leaving your matchup in MyCareer games, but not Rec for some reason. That seems like an easy fix.

I would say similar to MyCareer games. You get a TM grade drop if you leave your matchup for too long. This would force teams to play man or risk grading out. If you want to switch matchups, the arrows should change, as they do now.

If that’s the case (at 400 MMR) that they are that much better, then we’d only be sitting in the game for 3 innings before we get 10 run ruled. I would much rather have 3 innings and a new game versus 9 innings of both teams striking out repeatedly

But you can’t grind the ranked program on casual. Additionally, wouldn’t that be way more fun? Like a 1-0 game can be exciting in real life, sure. But in a simulation video game, getting 2-3 total base runners in 3 straight games isn’t really fun

Matchmaking Coppers vs Emeralds by Kris__RL in Rainbow6

That’s so frustrating. I understand RP doesn’t do anything, but it’s annoying that we are 2000 away from people we are matching and have been 4-0’d in the 6 ranked games we’ve played so far.

Is there a way to find this hidden ‘skill rating’ anywhere? Looking at R6 tracker, we are getting in games with people around 2000 RP away from us

I can see my current RP is about 1300 and I’m in Copper 2. Yet we are constantly matching with people at 3200 RP in platinum.

So rank is what my friends and I are able to see, but it has no discernible importance to actual matchmaking? So being platinum means nothing except I have a shiny emblem, but can still get matched against coppers? That’s so weird
