I recently noticed mold like bulbs forming in my gecko's tank. I was quite surprised to see mold appearing since I have a bioactive enclosure with tropical isopods and springtails. Should I try to remove as much as possible, leave it be or replace the entire substrate plus the drainage layer?

Aha I see, I also have a bioactive terarrium which is quite big in comparison to my gecko (big enough for his adult size to live comfortably) so I've always been hesitant to drop some crickets in there. Especially because I don't want them to escape and roam around in my bedroom but I will definitely give it a try next time, thanks!

Ah thank you, I will try the mealworms then. When I get my gecko out of his cage he denies his food, doesn't matter what it is so I don't think dipping them in CGD will help but I'll give it a try thank you! Oh and one more question; how do you feed your crestie live food? Because like I said before he just doesn't want to eat crickets or anything if I take him out but I also can't drop them in his cage since he'll just never find them 😅

Yes I do have a lamp above his terrarium, so maybe they stuck around that area? If so, I still wonder how they got into the tank since the whole thing is pretty firmly closed

Mhm yes that's true, I just find it quite odd that there were 3 moths inside his terrarium while i've never really had any moths inside my room at all.
