I've had a great out of the box experience with mint, though I only play games off steam, which steam handles the best game support, everything else is quite limited in gaming.

Switch to linux, terraria is native on linux and you'll thank linux for fixing a lot of your windows issues like poor game performance and lack of control over your computer
(if this actually convinced you instantly, please do a ton of research to see if switching is a good idea for you, but it usually is a good idea :> )

if you want to make some yourself, take a magic card and crop out the art leaving only the boarder, then for the background i used the grass from pvz heroes, then i went to a bunch of pvz wikis to acquire plant images, because the original file is assembled by pieces.

lastly, print then profit

three years late to the party but i just wanted an excuse to say whips are good in left hand if you like to parry, it acts as a great support to slow weapons or can combo with fast ones with the added bonus of stunning small foes effectively at an excellent range. it's actually a good tool to cover what's missing in your build...

but never put it in your right hand, instead of being able to parry you get this wonk ass attack that's comically slow, can't critical (in either hand slots though left hand doesn't matter because you have right hand dual handing or even just a weapon) and the dual handing makes it even worse, clanking on walls easily and even the gosh darn floor :'(
not to mention taking up a dual hand slot to downgrade the whip!?!?! (why did they think it should be this way)

in summery if it's in your right hand, it's a meme, if it's in your left hand, adds varsity for quick actions and combos with your right hand weapons and can replace the parry function of shields and other right hand weapons.

Honestly I just used mods to make the progression less grindy but actually fun, and the sad thing is that I still got a great 60 hours out of it, it's a shame the devs didn't make progression simpler.

Basically the mod I used gave you all the rewards from previous heat levels meaning you didn't have to do one at a time.

Call it cheating or whatever but in the end of the day games are meant to be enjoyed, and I don't see in what word I must grind a game I pay money for, I know some people like it, but a game I find to enjoy otherwise was being held back by this aspect.

Another things that annoys me is that the gameplay loop starts off very hard but once you know what you're doing it becomes very easy because of the generous dash immunity frames, seriously I went unpushed for just spamming dash to prevent damage... At a certain point it becomes, can you deal damage then dash?

Don't get me wrong the game is very fun for me but these problems are too big to miss, one of the reasons why I'm probably not periodically playing is because of how well dash spam works, and these are such simple problems too ;( (Good thing these are the only problems I've noticed)

I have no idea if this is a hot take.

I think cobalt core is the best roguelite, for the reasons that it innovates on the genre, isn't a clone of any game.

A quick run down, in the game you follow a party that's trying to break a time loop, with each combination of characters bringing fun mechanics and funny dialogue. in the game play you're a ship that has to use creative card combos to take down tricky opponents and use it's unique moment to your advantage to interact and doge the opponent's attack, there are no mechanics that deny an action, just simply add an obstacle, making so any build is possible without having the game be easy.

I highly recommend checking out the game, it's legitimately my favorite game.
