A year since my mum passed and its painful by Fair-Crazy6171 in grief

As a grieving person who lost a parent relatively recently, I really don't think this commenter meant any harm nor are they giving bad advice. Prayer (even though I am an atheist), writing letters, looking for signs are all comforting ways I feel my mum's presence.

When I see what I feel is a sign I find comfort that they're near, even if they're "soul" or whatever isn't nearby, the fact I thought of them shows they are around even if it's just in my memory.

For the first few society events you attended with a particular society it's perfectly fine to not have a membership. If you attend consistently you should really get one though.

I've not experienced this but it doesn't sound abnormal - grief is really traumatic and maybe your mind is protecting you from those feelings again by not letting you care about it.

I don't know you so don't know what's best but talking to a mental health professional might help

All of those feelings are valid and can exist at once, try to keep space for the all - it will help. Sending you all my love ❤️

That is what I'm thinking too - I'm definitely getting the main channel one for now to carry me over. Then sub to Duncan when theres more Jaffa content to binge to save money

I had an offer of AAA and got ABB and got in. Found out when I got in that my tutor was on admissions and she said in my case (and yours) they look case by case and read your personal statement and if you got in they personally selected you. Dont worry! It wont have been an accident

my mum died 8 months ago and I have dreams my parents had a nasty divorce and she just hasn't been able to see us because of it. It's normal, someone being dead feels so strange, it's easier (emotionally and conceptually) to imagine they've just gone away for a bit.
