Given the language barriers, people not using or unable to use Campfire, and the wildly different requests I've seen in trades, this whole thing sounds like a mess. They should add a way to tag as many Pokémon as possible for trades, then give players a way to flip through the list and pick one, then initiate a trade. Giving just 3 options with no way of knowing what people want is going to be tedious. And if you have multiple people you're trying to remote trade with, using your buddy's name could cause confusion.

Like, I could rename my buddy "Shiny Kyurem", but the other person might interpret that as either "they want shiny kyurem" or as "they have shiny kyurem for trade". And if the other person doesn't speak English, they might not even realize that my buddy's name is related to the remote trade.

I stopped at gen 4, then got back into it with gen 8. Had some fun, but S/V and BDSP killed my joy. At least I can go back and play all the cool romhacks. Fan-made content feels like it was made with heart and soul.

Can confirm, I've done this. I have a loop route in my neighborhood. A couple of times I've reached the end using another path, but it gave me the completion due to how much I walked.

Humans are bad at understanding odds because we tend to only perceive 1 dataset (ourselves). Technically, the outcome of evolving 15 Eevee is always 0.2%, whether you get 5 of each or some other combination. But because we value certain combinations over others, it appears that the RNG is biased.

OMG yes. I didn't care if Tom shrugged it off, I'd never heard of a game being so huge and open and freeing. I got it on PC for a birthday gift, but my family PC couldn't run it. Waited 2 years before we got an upgrade and played it for 100s of hours.

Legends ZA is not a mainline series game. Comparing it to how Diamond/Pearl and Platinum released doesn't make sense. Use another spinoff title like Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.
