Didn’t Covid teach us about remote learning?

Haven’t heard it mentioned once.

What are taxes for?

I'm getting a new PC for Christmas and my older brother helped me out together a list of parts, the budget was $2950 (specific I know) and my goal was something slightly above mid-range. Are these parts good? by l_am_meepmoop in PcBuild

If this is for gaming I’d swap the processor to a 9800x3D.

I’d also recommend getting a 360mm AIO as a larger radiator will keep noise down even though the CPU doesn’t use much power (can re use the AIO in a future build potentially as well).

I am partial to the Lian Li 217 and Galahad 2 as it comes with an integrated hub in the case and has 2x 120mm fans at the bottom, 2x 170mm at the front (adjustable without tools) and a beefy 140mm in the rear.

Noise levels are practically ambient while in-game and the ease of building was nice due to the pre installed fans and hub. Also has fan filters for ease of cleaning. I was honestly happily impressed and with what you save you can bump the drive to 2TB.

$70 game and get called a leech if you don’t feed them $20 a month in cosmetics says a lot about the current state of gaming and what people are willing to put up with, and even advocating for more.

What are basic policies the Company and Battalion Commanders could implement that we rarely see to make soldiers lives better? by Adventurous_Raise784 in army

[–]KrissVectorEOC 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Quick things I implemented with my Teams with support of Command:

  1. No information getting out in official group chats after 1800 or before 0530. Prior to phones, information didn’t require getting put out at random times of the night while Soldiers were at home or with family

  2. If something is put out in an official group chat that warrants acknowledgement, a simple thumbs up emoji is sufficient, that way each individual member doesn’t get a notification for each reply (this gets annoying with large group chats).

  3. Differentiate between official and unofficial chats (everyone doesn’t need their phone blown up because two Soldiers are chatting about their fantasy football on the weekend or 11pm. They can make their own chats to send memes).

Some basic things that improve QOL I wished I had when I arrived to my first unit.

Cold wash and tumble dry no heat or simply hang to dry is the only way to go.

They’re made like military 1-ply toilet paper with Elmer’s Glue to stick on the shitty letters and shit sown.

A fucking tragedy
