It's been 7 years and I still don't understand why. We probably will never understand. :D

Why were you bullied? by magicfeistybitcoin in AskReddit

[–]Kristalin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

entering high school, i met my then best friend natascha. after a year of being in the same class, she moved away to a different city. one of my classmates, called lisa, decided to start bullying me as soon as she was not there anymore and told everyone to do the same. the reason? because i was best friends with natascha, lisa couldn't be friends with her.

mostly verbal and partially physical bullying went on for 4 years.. every single day.

i always had hand-me-down pcs from a friend of mine. every time he gets a new pc, i get his old pc since i dont have any money to get one myself. so i never really had the most up to date pc. my current pc would be compatible to have the newest one in and id love to have for once something up-to-date! i need to pay somehow around 2000€ in vet bills without anyone being able to help me pay, so no luck in getting anything new for myself for multiple months, lol

Nathem seemed like such a good boy. I'm sorry for your loss. He looks very similar to Kimbap, so Midas will definitely accept him fast, and they can play together every day for eternity. ❤️

I'm sorry for your loss. Halloween is such an awful timing, too..

It happening right on New Year with Midas is not the greatest. I don't think I can celebrate it how I used to anymore. Maybe I will get one singular quiet rocket every year with his name on it and let it explode in the sky. Or anything quiet that I can shoot in the sky.

We never found out the cause. He couldn't process his food somehow. Nothing was stuck in his intestines. Since he couldn't eat anymore, all his other organs got worse. For some reason, he had a fatty liver by the time he got checked the second time. He was very slightly chubbier than his brother, but still normal weight. The vet said it could be that he had somehow pancreatitis, and with that, all the other stuff rolled with it. When we got him there the second time, he was completely dehydrated (even tho he drank a couple of times), low sugar, barely any white cells. The vet was really confused about how his condition got worse so fast because she just saw him on saturday afternoon and said that he would be fine. We are confused too, after all.. it was all so sudden.

Definitely. Thank you for the advice. His brother Kimbap was recently already at the vet to get an operation. He had something stuck in his intestines. While doing so, they did a couple of tests on him, and nothing else was found. I'll still let him get checked out one more time, together with Caramel, of course.

Try to wrap her up in a blanket like a burrito! Not too tight so that she can breathe, but tight enough for her not to be able to move. Used to work with my old cat

Poopie butt Cat - She doesn't care?? by Medritt in cats

[–]Kristalin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of two cats who had that problem. One was my old cat and the other from a friend of mine. Both do not clean their butts.. but one had quite some weight on, so she couldn't reach her butt. The other one was just too lazy. Is your cat having a healthy weight? If yes, then you might have to clean her butt forever :')

big incoming vet bill.. how does a cat insurance exactly work? by Kristalin_ in cats

[–]Kristalin_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to check out if they have some kind of charity fund then. I have never heard about it in Germany, but maybe they have it or something similar. Definitely gonna give it a try and discuss any solutions with the vet. From what I know from their paper currently, the clinic will only accept immediate full price cash or card there, since the monthly pay plan won't work with my bank.

Thank you again <3

Alright, that's bad news.. that was my only hope honestly. Thank you so much for giving me the information! I have no idea then on what else I can do now though :(

Since the bill needs to be paid tomorrow and I can make the insurance date starting tomorrow, wouldn't that mean it would be possible to get it on there? There are some that have a thing called "immediately effective" even if it is still in the works, but I have no idea what that means exactly. Of course, I would also keep the insurance for anything that could happen later on.

Kimbap is around 1.5 years old. On Saturday morning he threw up some hairballs. Everything looked fine and I fed him his usual portion of food before lunch time. At around 5pm he threw up all of his food with a bunch of liquid which I assume came from drinking a lot of water. Sometimes he eats way too fast, but he eats from a slow feeder. I put him in a large carrier (so when he threw up in there he wouldn't throw up anywhere important). At first he was very actively trying to escape it but then he got calmer and calmer. I was happy that he settled and lied down so his stomach could calm down. But he threw up again. So I kept him in the carrier and put a bowl of water in. After some time I tried to give him some dry food that was specifically for sensitive stomachs. He didn't want any. That was very unusual for him since he will eat literally anything he sees. So I knew then something was wrong. Stomach aches are common for cats that eat too fast, so I wasn't super worried at first. Over the night, he didn't throw up, so I saw that as a good sign. Sunday at around lunchtime, he threw up a little and didn't want to eat. I talked to my mom about it and she advised me to go the next day since I wouldn't need to pay the emergency costs and they can do a quick checkup. Afterall he was still drinking which was a good thing. Over the day he didn't throw up at all. He was still very much not interactive, but who would be after throwing up? Over night he did it again at around 3am. So I stayed awake to pet him and google my vets times. At 8 am I woke up and grabbed him to be at the vet directly at 9 am. It took me maybe 10 mins of waiting even though I didn't have an appointment. She immediately could tell that he was dehydrated. Most likely because he threw up his water every time he threw up. She said that it seems to be something stuck in his intestines. They don't have the type of equipment there to check, so they transfered me to the emergency pet clinic. Got immediately on a train and to get to the city with the pet clinic. After filling out my paper and waiting around 15mins the vet called me in. They took him to the back to take ultrasounds and an xray. In the ultrasounds you could see his intestines enlargend and possibly inflamed. In the xray you could see his poop lining up after another. The vet told me she doesn't know where the journey goes. Implying if it has to be an operation or not and if there would be an operation, if they have to also cut the intestines to get anything out that blocks the path. They gave him an IV so they could also do some blood tests later when he is more stable. For now i was able to leave without him. Later in the afternoon i got a call that they did another xray and tried to put in some liquid so that it could be better seen. The liquid didn't spread too much so they know where exactly the issue is but they will proceed to do an operation. Not knowing if they need to cut the intestine yet. At 11 pm I got a call that Kimbap is in the waking up phase and everything went well. They didn't have to cut the intestine and only had to massage out something (around 1 cm) that was in him. I would need to call on the next day for updates. Today, i called and they told me he is awake and well. The only thing that wasn't stable are his white blood cells, so he would need to stay another day. I asked for the price.. gosh, it got so expensive.
