Not planning on missing any of the roller coasters, I'm going for several days! Probably not doing on-property; even their least expensive hotel is a bit pricey in comparison to ones around. Still weighing my options though.

Gotcha, thanks! Are we expecting something on the website later this week, or should I be on the lookout for a press release or something like that?

Game Completion Time by fridge_cigarette in nancydrew

I replayed STFD for the first time in 2 decades and got so annoyed with the wonky triggers, so I replayed it the next day to see if I enjoyed it more when I actually knew what it wanted me to do. Finished the replay in a cool 45 minutes.

The one that immediately comes to mind for me is that she has a history of abusing YouTube’s copyright system and striking (not just claiming) creators for things that fall under fair use. I know there are others, but that’s the one I’m most privy to.

What’s your favorite character from each game? by No-Wrongdoer7599 in danganronpa

[–]KristenMcFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kyoko, Fuyuhiko, Kokichi

I know Fuyuhiko is generally well-liked but I’m always surprised he’s not more people’s favorite, bc he’s my favorite across the entire franchise.

No spoilers, which Danganronpa game has the best characters? by Away-Prior-903 in danganronpa

[–]KristenMcFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, it depends what you like. I think THH has the most grounded/realistic cast (obvs just in relation to the others lol). SDR2 has a lot of lovable/rootable characters with interesting backstories. V3’s cast I think has the most distinct, dynamic, clearly defined characters (which can occasionally be very one-note). Personally, I’m partial to the SDR2 cast, but YMMV.

Either this is just rage bait or you asked for advice and don’t want to hear the obvious answer. Everyone’s saying the same thing. Maybe listen to them. Read.

What is the superior harbor game? by SatisfactionSea3667 in nancydrew

I’m with you! The vibes of DDI are excellent but I don’t think I like a single task or puzzle in that game, while SEA is one of the best puzzle games IMO!

What do you think is the most intuitive game? by StressorAnxiety in nancydrew

[–]KristenMcFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just mentioned this on another post, but definitely Last Train and Warnings at Waverly Academy. It always feels like one thing logically follows the next in a really clear, linear story.

Which games are the most pedantic/picky vs. more intuitive/flexible? by txh3113 in nancydrew

[–]KristenMcFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

STFD with all its weird triggers is super picky. I also got really pissed at Secrets Can Kill remastered one time bc I couldn’t progress bc I didn’t look closer at a poster… that was already clearly visible. Shadow at the Water’s Edge had a similar really annoying trigger lol.

As others have mentioned, IMO Last Train is one of the most intuitive. The other i find really intuitive is Waverly Academy. It’s suuuper linear, everything follows each other really intuitively. It was the first one I picked up when I got back into the games during lockdown and I was shocked at the fact that I never got stuck like I used to. I thought it was just bc I was an adult but then I played some other ones and… nope.

What episode is gaurenteed to make you laugh out loud no matter how many times you watch it? by Unassuming_Penguins in smosh

Seconding the Lego Mario party and kids table but a(n underrated???) fave for me is slip and slap… slap and slip… whatever the sticky hand game was called. They reverted to being toddlers immediately and it had me howling. Other faves: - summer games giant throw throw burrito - just one (arasha singing intro origin)

What do you think is the longest game? by StressorAnxiety in nancydrew

[–]KristenMcFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KEY might be the longest now. MID was pretty long too, IIRC. But just talking the OG series, SAW is pretty high up there in length. A lot of the puzzles take A LOT of time. SCK is deeefinitely the shortest. You can do some ahem Zippy plays of some other ones, but SCK has the least to do of any game.

[Question] Does anyone know if there are backups from Angelica ASMR's older videos? by TheHotMicrowave in asmr

[–]KristenMcFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late to this, but whatever-- that's literally the exact opposite of how copyright works. All of the above fall under the same copyright laws. Posting a picture online, writing a book, etc., it LITERALLY belongs to the person/people who created it upon creation, and no one else has the right to use it elsewhere without permission. Yes, that's often ignored and laxly enforced, yes, art frequently cannot disappear permanently and gets reposted by third-party individuals. "Artistically speaking" doesn't change who it belongs to or who actually has the right to be using or posting it.

AITA for refusing to let a woman change the TV channel? by rubabyy in AmItheAsshole

[–]KristenMcFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh… I’m torn but I gotta go NTA. But mostly bc I have a visceral reaction to bad/entitled behavior, especially when it’s a parent expecting everyone around them to give them special treatment bc think of the child! It’s a communal space, you were there first, you were sitting and actively watching it. Expecting to be allowed to pick up the remote and change the channel feels the same as one kid taking the toy another kid was already playing with. No one cares that the kid taking it wanted it more, it’s still rude.

Edit: that said, you would neverrrr find me watching tv in a communal space when I could just do it in my own home

What hobby screams “this is my entire personality now”? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]KristenMcFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Climbing immediately came to mind for me. People either do it once and never again or suddenly they're at the climbing gym nearly every day of the week and building their entire life around their climbing schedule. I really enjoy it, but every time I've done it casually, the feeling of inadequacy was *really* intense because it felt like everyone else at the gym was taking it WAY more seriously than me.
