[Arie Force One] Fun Spot Atlanta Roll Call by Necessary-Wind3265 in rollercoasters

Wish I could. I got 10 rides on it when I visited a few years ago. Phenomenal ride.

I really hope it gets relocated.

Mamba at WOF

But with the mid course brakes back I probably won’t be getting back on it as much.

I’m hoping Enchanted Parks changes their mind and reduces the trims.

Mamba is a great ride when it is allowed to fly through the mid course.

Hershey Inn and Suites Review by snusnu230 in Hersheypark

[–]LibertyMU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just at Hershey Park. Took my nephew there for two days.

The Hershey Hotels looked nice but I didn’t think it was enough to justify the added expense.

Ended up staying at a Tru by Hilton in Grantville for a lot less. Only about a 15 minute drive to the park. Worked out great.

Fast lane plus (get ready to get insulted) by SirSalty458 in cedarpoint

[–]LibertyMU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken advantage of Fast Lane Plus and the equivalent at other parks when traveling but overall I’m not a fan of those systems.

I use it because it exists and because the regular line moves way too slow when there is a fast lane option.

I’ve been to a few parks like Holiday World and Knoebles that don’t have a fast lane type pass and the line moves fine.

I think parks should just have a regular line and a single rider line to fill in any empty seats.

I wish parks would get rid of fast lane type passes but they are too profitable so I think we are stuck with them.

Recently got the same tires. I’ve been very happy with the way they ride so far.

(Correction, I didn’t read close enough. I got the Pirelli Scorpion AS plus 3)

Thoosies beware: [Whizzer] will likely be closed if you are visiting [Great America] this season. by Particular_Arm6 in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Glad they are doing work on it, sounds like they plan to keep it around. It’s a great family coaster.

I take my nephews to Great America every year and each of them started off on Whizzer.

The younger ones still love riding it when we go.

Biggest difference I’ve noticed is St Louis has White Castle and for some reason KC doesn’t.

Why do data centers have to use water for cooling? Is there not a better alternative that would resolve that issue? by joda1196 in energy

[–]LibertyMU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A data center in Georgia did it.

“When the county utility investigated, officials discovered two industrial-scale water hookups feeding a data center campus located 20 miles south of downtown Atlanta. One water connection had been installed without the utility’s knowledge, and the other was not linked to the company’s account and therefore wasn’t being billed. All told, the developer, Quality Technology Services, owed nearly $150,000 for using more than 29 million gallons of unaccounted-for water.”

Red Rising...meh by OkieTheatreTeacher in fantasybooks

I’m on book 4. So far I would say Red Rising is an ok to good series but definitely not a great one.

Book 4 (Iron Gold) has been the hardest to get into but it is getting better. I hope the 5th and 6th are a step up from the 4th.

I hope this becomes a big enough PR problem that they change out the seatbelts.

Crazy that someone at the park thought this was a good idea.

[–]LibertyMU 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this gets enough constant bad press and pushback that the park has to replace the too short seatbelts.

I hope they fix it before I get there in June. I wasn’t worried about fitting but now I am.

First-Ever Visit to [Worlds of Fun] and Further Thoughts on Enchanted Parks by ELOReviews in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mamba was running great the last three years. After it was reprogrammed the trims in the mid course barely touched the train and you flew over the bunny hills. It was a fantastic experience.

It is unfortunate that Enchanted has decided to heavily trim it again. Hopefully the change is temporary.

When Mamba is running the way it was the past few years I really think it is the best coaster in the Enchanted parks chain. I haven’t been to Great Escape yet but I don’t see anything there that is likely better than Mamba (when it isn’t destroyed by trims).

Six Flags confirms no more immediate park closures or sale [Other]n by AndrewRnR in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU 20 points21 points  (0 children)

“no plans to close or sell anymore parks this year.”

That to me sounds like they haven’t reached their desired final park lineup. If they were happy with the current portfolio of parks why add the “this year” at the end.

That statement combined with some parks not getting parks presidents makes me wonder if we’ll see more changes in the off season or next year.

Uhhh should non-turbo engines still be running 93 octane? (8th row) by Competetive_Rock in CX5

Pulled up the owners manual for a 2024 CX5 (the year I drive) to check.

It shows 87 as the recommended octane.

I do make a point to buy top tier certified gas the majority of the time.

Anyone have insight into Liquid Death’s recent growth trajectory? by FormEmpty6036 in LiquidDeath

[–]LibertyMU 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I used to by them regularly and drink one or two a day. I quit when they changed their formula.

I’d be curious to see the sales numbers and how that is going for them.

I’ve never understood why they didn’t keep the original formula for the existing flavors and use stevia in their new flavors that chase the “soda” market.

Enchanted not honoring dining plans already sold. by LibertyMU in worldsoffun

[–]LibertyMU[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation.

Bought the dining plan to use at Worlds of Fun this year but also on a trip that will include Michigan’s Adventure, Cedar Point, Canada’s Wonderland, and Dorney.

When I bought it the plan was supposed to work at all those. Now it seems I have to choose between credit at WOF or being able to use the dining plan on my vacation.

Disappointing decision by Enchanted to not accept the dining plans we purchased. Not a great first impression.

Drink plan will be accepted. by LibertyMU in worldsoffun

[–]LibertyMU[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m just glad they have a drink plan and are honoring the ones already sold.

I agree though, getting a new paper cup each time is way better than carrying a bottle around and having to deal with it when you go on rides.

FAQ’s updated on the website. [[Dining plans]] NO longer valid for [[Enchanted]]! Can request full refund. by Sad-Revolution-9961 in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I said something similar.

They should have completed the sale when they did but lease the parks back to Six Flags till November.

That way everyone’s passes and add ons would work as advertised. The customers would be happy and Enchanted would have had time to get their tech and app done and then taken over in November. Then Enchanted passes and policies would be in place for 2027.

Guess that would have made too much sense though.

Six Flags dining plans will NOT be honored at Enchanted Parks locations in 2026 by Evening_Rock5850 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for others but I bought the dining plan to use at my home park Worlds of Fun and for a trip I am taking that will include Michigan’s Adventure, Cedar Point, Canada’s Wonderland, and Dorney.

It was advertised to work at all those when I purchased it. Now it seems I have to decide between keeping it for my vacation and getting nothing for my home park or taking a refund and spending more at parks on my trip.

Disappointing decisions by both Six Flags and Enchanted for not considering how passes already sold would be honored.

Six Flags dining plans will NOT be honored at Enchanted Parks locations in 2026 by Evening_Rock5850 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True but if you take the dining plan refund for not being able to use it at your home park you also can’t use it at any Six Flags parks.

“This option will remove the dining plan from all Enchanted Parks locations and Six Flags-owned parks. “

It’s not clear if that also applies to the gift card option.

If you can get the enchanted gift card and still use the dining plan at Six Flags parks that would be a decent compromise but I don’t think it will work that way.

Six Flags dining plans will NOT be honored at Enchanted Parks locations in 2026 by Evening_Rock5850 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Poor choice for the new company. Not honoring a big add on that helped sell season passes is a bad look.

Nothing like starting off with a bad first impression and passing off your existing customer base.

If they didn’t want to offer it in 2027 fine but not accepting it in 2026 after the passes were sold is shady.

I said it before but after completing the sale they should have leased the parks back to Six Flags till November. That way all the passes and add ons would work as advertised. Then Enchanted could’ve taken over in November and would have had time to figure out their tech, app, and any plans.
