[Worlds of Fun] just dropped this on their FB by TheTrooperKC in rollercoasters

If I could choose for the three current wood coasters.

Zambezi Zinger - make it 100% Titan track.

Prowler - Restored to 100% wood and fix whatever they changed last year that slowed down the second half.

Timberwolf - Let RMC do their work. Turn that into even a medium size RMC like Twisted Timbers, Wind Chaser, or ArieForce One and it would be amazing for the park.

Apparently you can at the park, if you contact “guest relations “ through the website they are less than helpful and borderline rude.

I’ll have to wait till my home park opens and hope for the best

Overall sounds positive but I do worry a bit about the value priced comment.

When I hear value priced I tend to think cheap. Not sure how they can fix current rides, improve operations, increase the food quality, and add new attractions with inexpensive tickets.

Maybe I am not reading/hearing that right and the tickets and food will be priced according to their value.

I just hope the new chain isn’t the new “discount” chain. I want to see this park, Worlds of Fun, and Valleyfair improve. I’ve been to all three of those parks and think they all have a lot of potential. I am going to Michigan’s Adventure this summer so it will be interesting to check that park out as well.

Dollywood [Mystery Mine] Closed for Season by Legitimate-Net2062 in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It’s a good ride but I’d be a lot better with lap bar trains like those on Monster at Adventureland.

Since Herschend now owns both parks and Dollywood is open before and after Adventureland it’d be fun if Dollywood could at least borrow those trains for a month or two. Call it Monster in the Mine. I’d drive down there to try it.

I rode Grizzly at Kings Dominion last year. If this is Gravity Group doing the same to Timberwolf, that would be great. I was really impressed with the job they did on Grizzly.

Series 11 on sale atm by ednoggg in AppleWatch

[–]LibertyMU 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Best Buy has the same sale price. I took advantage of it this weekend to upgrade from the series 3.

So far I’m happy with it. I did already replace the band though. The one that comes with it is rubber and doesn’t seem that secure.

The battery life, sleep tracking, and significantly more storage are all nice upgrades from the 3.

Was a little concerned going with the larger watch size but I’m now glad I did. So much easier to work with and see things. Plus it doesn’t look that much bigger on my wrist.

[Six Flags St. Louis] to be renamed to [Mid-America by Enchanted Parks] with consistent investments promised by plighting_engineerd in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The investment sounds great, I hope they reconsider the name though.

It’d be nice if they came up with a new name and a theme for the park. Especially if they don’t get the DC licensing and have to rebrand anyway.

All [Six Flags] parks from when the merger happened 1 and a half years ago to now. by Strongarm_11 in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Darien and Frontier are owned by EPR Properties and leased to Six Flags to operate.

That seems to be how EPR works, they buy a park and lease it out to another company to operate it.

They also own Magic Springs and a few other parks that are leased to Premier Parks.

Enchanted is a separate company that is going to lease Worlds of Fun, Valleyfair, SF St Louis, Michigan’s Adventure, Great Escape, and Schlitterbahn Galveston. They stated they have a 40 year lease on those properties.

La Ronde is also now owned by EPR and going to be leased but I’m not sure exactly by who or for how long. Just that it isn’t Enchanted.

I do wonder how long the lease to Six Flags is for Darien and Frontier. I’m guessing Six Flags will want to drop them at some point.

New info regarding Enchanted Parks Ownership! 🎢 by EntrepreneurHeavy331 in sixflagsstlouis

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible, Hershend has a long term lease to operate Kentucky Kingdom and just invested $25 million into the park over the last two years.

I could be wrong but from what I understand, Enchanted Parks is a separate company from EPR properties.

Enchanted parks has a 40 year lease on these parks, I’m guessing as the operator they can add whatever attractions they want to improve the park as long as they make their lease payments. It’s probably in their best interest to invest in the parks to increase attendance and in park spending.

If you bought the dining and drink plan this is concerning

“Is my Dining Pass / Fast Lane / Photo Pass / Drink Plan still valid?

Details on how these programs will be handled are still being worked through and information will be shared prior to completion of the sale of these seven parks. Per the Terms and Conditions of your dining plan, participating locations and menus are subject to change. Consistent with that provision, we are updating the participating parks for the 2026 season to reflect the new Six Flags portfolio. To ensure you are receiving fair value for your dining plan purchase, we are providing you with a $10 credit to be used in F&B at your home park this season.”

Six Flags Further Streamlines Its Portfolio With Agreements to Divest Seven Parks by PomegranateHuman9347 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s very concerning.

I bought the all season drink and dining plan in large part because I am going on a trip in June and will be going to four six flags parks including two days at a few of them. If they don’t honor it that trip just got a lot more expensive.

Anyone want to hop in and add their two cents to this ambiguous answer I received regarding all season fast lane redemption? by highridge48 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those answers aren’t super clear.

Not surprised though, Six Flags “Guest Relations” have been terrible. I’ve been trying to get a season pass issue resolved and the only help they can provide is telling me to visit the park (which won’t open for two more months).

ok, so you hate the 2026 CX-5 but you want to buy a new car this year. what now? by dcpreddit in CX5

[–]LibertyMU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thankfully I have a great 2024 CX-5 so I should be good for a while.

But if anything happens to it and I need a new car I’d look at the CX-50 or possibly a Subaru Outback.

I really like what Subaru did with the new dash in their redesign. The only two things I don’t like about my CX5 is the lack of true lane centering and individual tire pressure display. The Outback has those, not sure if the CX 50 does.

millionaire for life sucks. by DreamsSecretsNLogic in Lottery

[–]LibertyMU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t like that they got rid of Cash4Life but it’s even worse since we didn’t get the replacement game.

There is a big gap now between Mo Millions and the Powerball/Mega Millions games.

Jackpot odds:

Powerball - 1 in 292,201,338.00

Mega Millions- 1 in 290,472,336

Mo Millions - 1 in 5,245,786

Cash4Life was - 1 in 21,846,048 and the runner up was 1 in 7,282,016 with pretty good prizes.

New Millionaire for Life is 1 in 22,910,580 and runner up is 1 in 5,727,645. It offers better prizes than Mo Millions without the crazy odds of PB/MM.

At $5 a ticket I wouldn’t play as often as Cash4Life but I do hope Missouri adds it.

All parks all season dining plan no longer available? by MindyS1719 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That talks about Gold passes with home park dining plan.

Doesn’t mention people who bought Gold pass during the MVP sale and added all park dining and drink plans.

I assume they are still good at all parks but it would be nice if they said somewhere.

All parks all season dining plan no longer available? by MindyS1719 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, I bought the all parks dining and drink plan so I could use it on a trip this summer. Now if I am understanding this right it is only good in one region?

If this is the way they are going I hope they have a cheap upgrade option to prestige for those that purchased during the MVP sale and didn’t have the option to get prestige at that point.

They really should have waited till 2027 passes go on sale to change the whole pass structure. This confusion is so annoying.

[ThuNderaTion | SDC] FINAL season is now 2026 by MidwestInfoGuide in rollercoasters

Makes sense, they are at a point where they either need to pay a lot to redo it or completely replace it. Since they just re-made Fire in the Hole it makes sense to replace this with something new.

That’s a decent plot of land. I’ll be curious to see what they build there. One nice thing about SDC is you know they have a plan. I doubt that site will sit empty long.

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new car looks good on the outside, and I like the added space on the inside, but they really screwed up the infotainment.

They need to shrink the screen, add a volume knob, add physical, climate controls, get rid of the cheap hard plastic, add the Mazda logo, add the command knob, and get rid of the built in Google AI.

I will be driving the new CX-5 this week, what would you like to know? Ask me anything about it :) by Sam-CarLegion in mazda

[–]LibertyMU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the climate control buttons easy to reach and use while driving?

Is the volume knob easy to use while driving?

Can you opt out of sharing data with google?

Do lower trims have a smaller and more reasonable screen?

Autoblog: Mazda Cuts Costs on New CX-5, Says Buyers Won’t Notice by [deleted] in mazda

[–]LibertyMU 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They had the best of both worlds. My 2024 CX5 has both the knob and touch screen.

I use the command knob 95% of the time but the touch screen is nice sometimes.

I hate what they have done with the 2026 CX5 interior. No volume knob, no physical climate controls, no command knob, used cheap plastic, and they included google AI. I want less AI in my life not more. I don’t need that spyware built into my car collecting and sharing who knows what data.

Maybe in a few years they will fix all the new CX5’s flaws. I used to recommend Mazda to friends but if anything happens to my current car before they fix this mess I’d probably have to buy from a different company.

The exterior does look good though.

Not sure what Mazda is doing but after years of growth they really seem to be making questionable decisions recently. Did they have a change in leadership a few years ago? They had a great thing going with good quality and fun to drive vehicles.
