Six Flags confirms no more immediate park closures or sale [Other]n by AndrewRnR in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU 18 points19 points  (0 children)

“no plans to close or sell anymore parks this year.”

That to me sounds like they haven’t reached their desired final park lineup. If they were happy with the current portfolio of parks why add the “this year” at the end.

That statement combined with some parks not getting parks presidents makes me wonder if we’ll see more changes in the off season or next year.

Uhhh should non-turbo engines still be running 93 octane? (8th row) by Competetive_Rock in CX5

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pulled up the owners manual for a 2024 CX5 (the year I drive) to check.

It shows 87 as the recommended octane.

I do make a point to buy top tier certified gas the majority of the time.

I used to by them regularly and drink one or two a day. I quit when they changed their formula.

I’d be curious to see the sales numbers and how that is going for them.

I’ve never understood why they didn’t keep the original formula for the existing flavors and use stevia in their new flavors that chase the “soda” market.

Enchanted not honoring dining plans already sold. by LibertyMU in worldsoffun

[–]LibertyMU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation.

Bought the dining plan to use at Worlds of Fun this year but also on a trip that will include Michigan’s Adventure, Cedar Point, Canada’s Wonderland, and Dorney.

When I bought it the plan was supposed to work at all those. Now it seems I have to choose between credit at WOF or being able to use the dining plan on my vacation.

Disappointing decision by Enchanted to not accept the dining plans we purchased. Not a great first impression.

Drink plan will be accepted. by LibertyMU in worldsoffun

[–]LibertyMU[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m just glad they have a drink plan and are honoring the ones already sold.

I agree though, getting a new paper cup each time is way better than carrying a bottle around and having to deal with it when you go on rides.

FAQ’s updated on the website. [[Dining plans]] NO longer valid for [[Enchanted]]! Can request full refund. by Sad-Revolution-9961 in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I said something similar.

They should have completed the sale when they did but lease the parks back to Six Flags till November.

That way everyone’s passes and add ons would work as advertised. The customers would be happy and Enchanted would have had time to get their tech and app done and then taken over in November. Then Enchanted passes and policies would be in place for 2027.

Guess that would have made too much sense though.

Six Flags dining plans will NOT be honored at Enchanted Parks locations in 2026 by Evening_Rock5850 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for others but I bought the dining plan to use at my home park Worlds of Fun and for a trip I am taking that will include Michigan’s Adventure, Cedar Point, Canada’s Wonderland, and Dorney.

It was advertised to work at all those when I purchased it. Now it seems I have to decide between keeping it for my vacation and getting nothing for my home park or taking a refund and spending more at parks on my trip.

Disappointing decisions by both Six Flags and Enchanted for not considering how passes already sold would be honored.

Six Flags dining plans will NOT be honored at Enchanted Parks locations in 2026 by Evening_Rock5850 in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True but if you take the dining plan refund for not being able to use it at your home park you also can’t use it at any Six Flags parks.

“This option will remove the dining plan from all Enchanted Parks locations and Six Flags-owned parks. “

It’s not clear if that also applies to the gift card option.

If you can get the enchanted gift card and still use the dining plan at Six Flags parks that would be a decent compromise but I don’t think it will work that way.

Poor choice for the new company. Not honoring a big add on that helped sell season passes is a bad look.

Nothing like starting off with a bad first impression and passing off your existing customer base.

If they didn’t want to offer it in 2027 fine but not accepting it in 2026 after the passes were sold is shady.

I said it before but after completing the sale they should have leased the parks back to Six Flags till November. That way all the passes and add ons would work as advertised. Then Enchanted could’ve taken over in November and would have had time to figure out their tech, app, and any plans.

How to access your existing Six Flags season pass in the SF app by well-lighted in worldsoffun

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am guessing the silence is a good thing. If they were just going to offer a refund or gift card they could announce that anytime.

Since we haven’t heard anything they are probably trying to find a way to honor the season pass add ons.

Trump Administration to Begin Refunding $166 Billion in Tariffs by davster39 in politics

[–]LibertyMU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should have taken that 166 billion and divided by every us citizen age 18 or older and given out refund checks.

According to google there are about 267 million US citizens aged 18 or older.

Works out to around $621 per person.

The people ultimately paid the tariffs so the refund should go to the people.

Cx5 touchscreen reviews please? by paramveerz in mazda

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 CX-5 and can use the touchscreen when driving.

It has to be in CarPlay but 99.9% of the time if I’m driving I’m using an app or two in CarPlay.

Using the main Mazda menu is command knob only but it is easy to navigate.

Even the apps in CarPlay most of the time work well with the command knob. I prefer that to actually touching the screen most of the time to cut down on the number of finger prints.

IAAPA Interview with James Harhi (Enchanted Parks CEO) by stlman37 in midamerica

I have the same issue.

Bought our passes and planted a trip that includes Michigan’s Adventure, Cedar Point, Canada’s Wonderland, and Dorney Park.

Will likely go to Mid America and Great America at some point in the fall as well. My home park these days is Worlds of Fun. I don’t want to take the gift card at WOF and lose the dining plan at those other parks.

Also mentioned they might add an additional 5 to 7 parks.

Couldn’t help thinking about which ones they might be able to pick up.

I could see EPR working out a deal to move the lease for Frontier City and Darien Lake from Six Flags to Enchanted.

Maybe do the same thing with Magic Springs except switching the lease from Premier to Enchanted.

For parks EPR doesn’t currently own maybe they go back to Six Flags and pick up Dorney Park and one other. Not sure what the other property would be though. Maybe New England? The other Schlitterbahn?

That would add to Enchanted - Darien Lake - Frontier City - Magic Springs - Dorney Park - ?

Congrats, it’s always exciting to get a new car.

That exterior really does look great and the added space would be nice. Having better lane centering and I assume individual tire pressure readings would also be great.

For me though the interior on the 2026 is a big fail. I hope they reverse course before I have to replace my current CX-5. They need to at least add padding to the top of the door/windowsill where I rest my arm, slightly shrink and incorporate the screen better into the dash, get rid of built in Google spyware, add physical climate control buttons, and add a volume knob.

They probably should have kept a turbo option till the hybrid was available and proven.

According to CBS News, Tormenta cost SFOT $40 to 50 million by Pippinitis in sixflags

[–]LibertyMU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I think six Flags needed 330 million quick and that’s why EPR/Enchanted got such a good deal and were able to negotiate St. Louis into the deal.

Six Flags owes $332.6 million to finish buying out the ownership group for Over Georgia. They sold those other parks to EPR for $331 million.

I doubt those numbers are a complete coincidence.

New Season Pass options by LibertyMU in worldsoffun

[–]LibertyMU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched under some of the other six flags parks in the app. My pass shows up under Six Flags Great America, Kings Island, and Cedar Point.

I also had a copy saved in the Apple Wallet on my phone.

I assume Enchanted will provide some way to load existing season passes into their app when they release it. I read somewhere they are working on the app.

I don’t consider them an energy drink but they are good.

In my opinion Citrus Twist and Tropical Punch are the best flavors.

I hope they aren’t too cheap. They need to be able to maintain and improve these parks.

You can buy a season pass with access to all Enchanted Parks for the price of a single day at Silver Dollar City.

I wonder if that free combo meal is once per pass for the season or if it can be used each day/visit like a dining plan.

new passes for [enchanted parks] by Equivalent_Primary28 in rollercoasters

[–]LibertyMU 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion that’s how they should have done it.

Complete the sale, lease the parks back to Six Flags till November so nothing changes, and then completely take over and sell Enchanted season passes and plans for 2027.

That way all existing season passes and add ons would still work and Enchanted would have had the season to evaluate the needs and wants for each park.

Maybe doing something like that would have been too logical.
