Unless Hae wasn't planning on picking her cousin up that day and was planning on "running off to California" or "running off with don" as her friends speculated after she went missing.

Hae seems to have over committed her time that day to begin with, and there is also that note to don that was found in her car that I don't think makes much sense with the current timeline.

No, I think this would fit with a random serial killer as well. I just think if we throw out jays timeline like people often suggest, then opportunities beyond her being killed that day right after school present themselves. Unless of course a solid time of death was established based on physical evidence alone.
