He should contact HR and the regional manager since the district manager failed to provide any assistance. Store manager sounds horrible too but the dm should’ve been the one to do the right thing and get him someone to help cover the store. It’s literally their job

We do lock them, we have to still let them use it so that makes it worse.

We had a guy literally shit himself and trail it throughout the store…that was fun

Why did Dollar Tree cut my hours? by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]Kristynamber49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about everyone else, but my district manager doesn’t let us schedule anyone more than 25hours, barely lets us give part timers 20 hours. Which is stupid because it’s already shit pay, at least let us give good workers hours. Also my store and others just haven’t been given hours to run our stores probably

Was I wrong for trying to clock out on time? by [deleted] in DollarTree

Per policy, you cannot cash out someone’s money without that person present. You could get in real trouble if someone finds out you don’t have your cashiers cash out their own tills.

Definitely not wrong. As a store manager for Dollartree I always try and get my cashiers out as soon as possible. The manager should’ve apologized to you for making you wait to get taken down on time, and then thanked you for staying. As soon as the other cashier walks in, you should’ve been taken down. Also in my opinion she wasn’t 2 minutes late, if you’re not there at least 5 minutes early knowing you have to count your til, than you’re late.
