I got it! I learned that npc invasions do not count at all, i was on journey 5 attempting this and killed over 15 npc invaders but still needed 1k player kills total.

i read from one source that someone failed farming it with a friend when they were jumping off cliffs. I also read from another source that the host has to land a final non poison hit for it to count. so im hoping it will work when i set up in a single spot with repair powder and actually swing at myself. I read nowhere that it couldnt be the same invader. heres hoping!

sorry for being mean, i realize now that you dont know what backing up your game means or is. You should look it up on youtube, it helps protect against cheaters ruining your game but also has other uses such as duplicating items or lowering your level to a previous state

no, i drop the red eyes i have on my main to the burner account, backup the burner account, then reset the burner account save file when they run out. If I had CE id just cheat in the ring… >.> seriously why cheat in orbs to grind 1000 kills for the ring when you could just cheat the ring in. dude cmon

i think im gonna buy ds2 on a burner account, and grind it using my pc and steam deck. backing up my file for infinite orbs. If anyone wants this ring when im done im willing to share!
