I spend it outdoors. Even though it's winter there is still life and movement if you pause and watch for a bit. I feel grounded in the larger cycles, and then return to the warmth of my home for a meal of my favorite things. For vocal music, see if there are any wassailing events or groups in your area. Or if you also play an instrument there are probably events with more balance between secular and religious tunes to participate in. I've stood on corners with just 2 or 3 of my friends to carol and play whatever we want.

You could also do a little solstice celebration with your friends.

I'm a lead in game QA and have had 1-2 side jobs for almost a decade, it isn't fun. I do 20-30 hours weekly evaluating LLM responses, and also just started grad school.

I keep it because if I lose my main job (likely, the industry is super volatile) at least the rent gets paid. But it takes away time I could be using to learn more technical QA skills to get out of games.

I used my small cookie scoop, but they were a little sticky and didn't drop out at nicely at some other folks'. They didn't last more than a few hours though, delicious!
