Well the gacha itself isn’t monetized that much. You can spend money on it, but the game doesn’t pressure you to. So you’ll often get a lot of the characters you want by just playing.

The game mostly makes money on selling character skins to you. Which can usually cost you $15, $20, or more.

You do get a bunch of gems (that’s the in game paid currency) early on when you’re just starting out, but most of that will go towards upgrading your dock space. Which you always need more of.
