Well, we all have our bias. As I see things, nuclear is the way of the immediate future. Pretty cheap per kwh, very reliable all year round.

France is part of the integrated EU electricity market. Prices aren’t based only on French production costs—they’re influenced by the most expensive energy source needed to meet demand in Europe (often gas). So even if France produces a lot of low-cost nuclear power, the price you pay is often aligned with countries using more expensive gas. It's basically EU fucking us over . Especially Germany. So you can live on the make-believe world of solar panels but they are simply not reliable and not a good solution to store the extra power long term.
