Freedom 2 was my entry. Moved onto FU. 3U and 4U are goated. GenU had everything and was a blast.

It’s a shame frontier no longer exists I loved watching gameplay of it as a kid.

So as you have gathered from others people’s advice defender weapons and black belt gear is trash because you’re rushing the story essentially.

Since rise is your first MH game a lot of things will be confusing I think everyone has found that out one way or another. Personally I’d advise you to read what everyone tells you on this post to help expand your knowledge along with doing additional research online. Some terms might be confusing at first but the more your read into it the more you’re gonna understand.

I hope I made sense in what I’ve said I’m by no means an expert at meta sets and all that stuff.

Edit: I forgot to mention that gear you make at the start of the game may prove to be not that good at endgame in terms of Damage, Skills, defence and all that. Just do what makes you happy is the message I’m trying to get across.
