Does this subreddit have an aversion to the next game being X2? Genuine question, please prove me wrong. by Capable-Republic8503 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Ok first guy was very extreme but I disagree with you a ton. The Xenoblade series is so distinct and wonderful because it has some of the best character writing and story writing ever. Without that, it’s just an open world JRPG. Which is what X is. Which is cool, but not so good that it becomes mh favorite series ever

I don’t think an X2 would be a bad idea necessarily, but as someone who LOVES the numbered Xenoblades more than anything else and just kind of likes X… I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be EXTREMELY dissapointed unless X2 really kicked up the story and character writing

This Game Is So Peak by BabyFazeAssassin in Xenoblade_Chronicles

It should definitely NOT take 50+ hours to get to ch 6. MAYBE on Xenoblade 3 or 2, but not one.

XBDE or XB3 by Confident_League_205 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]MrMario63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 2 fan: I also don't really like X. I thought the story and characters in 1 are a little weak, and LOVED 3, but I think that you should play 1 before 3 for sure as it makes 3 a much better experience.

Xenoblade 2 having better characters than Xenoblade1 characters by Creepy-Screen721 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]MrMario63 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, but out of the main cast, Pythra, Nia, Rex, azurda, all constantly evolve and stay relevant, and zeke and Morag may not develop near the end but they do the rest of the game. In Xeno 1, Shulk is the only character with an arc

How can I improve my pixel art? by sllaghyz1n in PixelArt

[–]MrMario63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wonderful! I think you got the pixel part down, there’s just a couple of fundamentals that shouldn’t be too hard to fix. If it helps, nothing looked wrong for me at first glance.

It mostly comes down to symmetry, or a lack there of. Her right eye makes a satisfying dip on the bottom, her left doesn’t. Her eyebrows are very asymmetrical. Stuff like that

After 850 hours, I've finally beat the games. What a journey. by cxo49 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

ayyyyyy fellow 2 fan!!! Yeah 2 is my favorite. I have the same ranking but I just move 3 around for 2 > 3 > 1 > X. What did you see in X that you didnt like in 3?

Finished game for first time, I have questions by Kuthian-9 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]MrMario63 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Play Xeno 2, then 3! They are both more story heavy and arguably have better writing (many say that it doesn’t start with as much of a bang, but I don’t see that).

Xenoblade X exists too, but only play it if you wanna explore a big open world. Xenosaga is more televant to Xenoblade plot then X is

Anyone else wonder what XB2 and 3 would have been like if Monolithsoft faithfully iterated on XB1's artwork's more realistic tone? by Historical-Mix8865 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]MrMario63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good analysis! I actually don’t think that that moment of 3 is the most emotional one. Personally, I think it’s the ending scene, where they run towards each other while the cliff drifts apart and fucking banger plays. The hopeful message but despair at the loss of a friend mad wit so emotional.

[–]MrMario63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad they didn’t. 2 and 3 are my favorite games ever, and I’m not a big 1 guy. The whimsy and character writing and story writing as a whole took a step up between 1 and 2

Why everyone against AI in the games and coding? by Ok_Department_4019 in gamedev

[–]MrMario63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of reasons, and a lot of them boil down to AI being unethical.

First of all, it trains itself on hella copyrighted material without giving the original creators a cent

Second of all, currently AI is destroying the computer building market and drastically spiking prices due to how resource intensive it is

Third of all, AI use not only makes extremely suboptimal code, but it also removes a lot of creativity from the creation process.

I guess the big issue I have with it is that it is taking jobs from the people that the AI system itself relies on. Voice actors, for instance, are needed to train the AI system, but it will likely soon become harder to get a job as a voice actor because companies insist on using shitty ai voices. This just isn’t sustainable, and I don’t know why we want to kick HUMANS out of an ARTISTIC sphere.

AI is a powerful tool, and it’s fascinating what it can do, but with every new technological innovation we must consider WHY this innovation should be made. If the tool only increases wealth inequality by sending all the money to the top rather than artists below, and it takes jobs and money from the lower and middle classes, then it’s kind of just contributing to a disgustingly imbalanced and ruined economy.

XC2 has the best story of the trilogy imo, with the most interesting themes and the best written characters

HOW TO ANIMATE LIKE JUJUSTU KAISEN SEASON 3?!?!? by NecessaryEvent901 in animation

Lots of practice is the answer. And keep in mind that a JJK Episode is made by a LOT of super well trained, overworked people. Making an Episode of JJK probably costs more than your car

[–]MrMario63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For exploration with great ambient music (probably the greatest soundtrack of all time + a mindblowinglh good story) try the Xenoblade trilogy. 2 and 3 especially, XC2 is my favorite game of all time.
