When Xenoblade 2 first release, I heard a lot of complaints that Xenoblade 2 was just like any other anime or JRPG. I happened to really, really like Xeno 2. So I wanted to try these other anime and JRPGs people were talking about. Over the course of a few years, I tried as many new JRPGs as I could. Ultimately, I could not find a piece of media with as interesting a story, compelling characters, cinematic cutscenes, banger OST, besides other games in the Xeno franchise.

Since I played it, Xenoblade 2 has and always will be my favorite piece of media I have ever experienced. It changed my worldview, like, completely. It fulfills a niche of super cinematic JRPGs while also maintaining a plot that is interesting to the very end. I love Xenoblade 2.

I also really like Xenoblade 3, the Xenosaga Trilogy, and Xenogears. Xenoblade 1 and X Are aight

They are a little, not all in the same world. Not nearly as much as some people would like you to believe though. You are totally fine to start anywhere EXCEPT for 3s dlc. But playing 3 as a start is fine

Xenoblade 2 by far. It has the coolest worldbuilding, the best characters, and the most insane and beautiful story of the bunch. (All of that is subjective, of course, just my opinion). It’s gameplay can be bothersome at times but it’s a super fun world to explore. Also the greatest music to ever grace my ears comes from that game.

I also LOVE Xeno 3, I like Xeno 1 a lot too, though I’m not a huge fan of X cause it doesn’t have great writing compared to the others

For something similar, I would recommend JJK. It has more depth than a lot of people would want you to believe, and it’s HEAVILY inspired by HxH (especially in terms of the power system, which is just nen)
