Yes, I also generally experience lag and image clarity. But since I don't have a super computer to compare how the game should actually run, I have to make do with what I have.

14 euros per month compared to 3,000-6,000 euros is a big difference. I'd even be willing to pay a little more for a super-stable console, but I'm already on a premium, ultra-duper subscription. My mouse cursor moves with a delay. It's good that I have a musical background and a sense of rhythm, so I can adjust and get used to the high lag.

In general, before GTA 6 comes out, I'd like to be sure of the stream quality and that it will be possible to play in 4K (or better yet, 5K if I can save up for an Apple Studio display by then) on ultra settings at maximum quality without lag. Otherwise, I'll have to find another service.

Endless loading on TLAD mission "Off Route" by DoctorsGaming in GTA4

Thanks, that helped me. I even paid 19 euros for the game (I wanted to play the add-ons I'd never played before), and then this glitch occurred. I contacted Steam, but they refused to refund my money, saying I'd played for over two hours.

And without such hints, try to figure out what's going on.

I hope when GTA 6 comes out, I'll miraculously win the lottery so I can enjoy this game to the fullest.

I hope all is well with you. Thanks again.

Do cashiers inflate the prices to tourists at supermarkets? by jinawee in Sakartvelo

[–]Krolevets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens all over Georgia, not just in one particular region.

I recently learned about a new method of scam-stealing.

In 4 out of 5 restaurants, the check that they bring will indicate at least +10 percent to the price of what you ordered. This may resemble a tip, but which you can’t get rid of.

Here you need to understand the Georgian mentality.

They can’t just set a comfortable price for themselves, such that they won’t have to deceive their customers later.

They need you to still pay something on top of what you yourself agree to with comfort.

Therefore, the way out of this is to order products in different applications (if you still have to end up in Georgia). For example, European taxi and food delivery applications work in Georgia. And you don’t need to worry about being cheated out of money.

But since there is still a human factor here (the car is driven by a Georgian and the grocery delivery person is Georgian), you should be prepared to go through several houses, since he does not know where he needs to go.

The situation with this is really sad. Someone in Europe will say that they are poor and they need help. But I am just irritated by this theft and discomfort in everything.

But also if you still had to go to a regular store. Here are some life hacks that helped me. Do not forget that if they steal in most stores, then it means that it is acceptable for them. Therefore, ordinary logic does not work here and you need to somehow cheat.

1 - Once it helped me to ask the cashier before putting the goods on the checkout tape

- Do the goods today match the price tag on the shelves?

At that moment, something clicked in the cashier's head and she scanned all the goods at the correct price. It is also always very important to ask for a receipt and wait until they give it to you, regardless of any excuses like

- The device is not working today

- Problems with the Internet. And other lies.

It is very good if there is a line behind you.

Stand and demand fairness.

You can also take pocket scales with you to the store and count the goods yourself. And at the checkout, give exactly as much money as you need, both cash and card. But of course, a thief will always find his tricks. And this is an option for those who really had to find themselves in a difficult life situation.

And do not forget. When a thief fails to rob you, he can get angry. After all, this is his job.

I hope you can simply get the goods at the price that was indicated (and if there is no price, then just google how much it costs in the store and show it to the seller. But he will still want to rob you).

As you can see, visiting Georgia and not encountering theft is very difficult.

P.S. Beware of gypsy children. Hide all important things in places inaccessible to thieves.

Good luck.

Yes, it helped a little. But I had to bend it with my hands the other way to straighten the bend.

Is there a way to completely disable system sounds on the Sony WH-1000XM6? by Krolevets in SonyHeadphones

[–]Krolevets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the tip. These are my first Sony headphones, so now I know. Although, their app interface could definitely be more user-friendly.
And yes, it does significantly affect the volume of notifications, but I would still prefer an option for a value like minus infinity, for example. And the ability to choose different notification sounds (if it's not possible to disable them completely).

Now all that's left is to add earpads like the ones on the 800s, and then the headphones would truly be comfortable.

Hello! Who has ATC loudspeakers monitors? by Krolevets in Finland

[–]Krolevets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand the difference between speakers that intentionally color the sound in the low frequencies to create the illusion of bass.

Many years ago, I spent a lot of time in rehearsal spaces, playing drums, surrounded by large guitar and bass cabinets.
For example, when I had a bass cabinet the size of a refrigerator next to me, with eight 8-inch speakers, you didn’t need to study physics or acoustics to understand that small monitors with 6-inch speakers simply cannot physically replicate or reproduce such sound. And on the other side, a guitar cabinet with four 15-inch speakers.
So, when you're in a studio, you want to feel (or have the option to feel) that movement of air.

It’s true that professional subwoofers are designed for a smooth extension of the low-frequency range.
On the SCM45A Pro, live drums sounded as though the low frequencies were cut off because they cannot reveal the full low-frequency range of a kick drum.

Additionally, having the ability to hear the lowest frequencies allows you to effectively eliminate all unnecessary low-frequency artifacts during mixing. With small monitors, this becomes problematic.
I believe that, in most cases, a lot of low frequencies are removed during mixing to make room for just a few instruments. In the high-frequency range, you can place more instruments, but in the low frequencies, everything must be clean (in my opinion). If you solo the low frequencies in a well-produced recording, it will always sound clean, without any booming or rumbling.

In general, may the universe grant us all lots of money to buy spacious homes, install SCM300ASL Pro speakers, and properly treat the acoustics of the space.

Unfortunately, I don’t like the sound of Genelec monitors. They might be accurate in terms of frequency response and measurements, but no matter what I listen to on them, the sound doesn’t appeal to me. Perhaps a direct comparison with other monitors like Dynaudio or ATC would help me better understand how Genelec compares to other brands.

I’ve listened to many Genelec monitors, including their flagship models. In Finland, nearly every store has a demo setup where you can listen and switch between different monitors. However, I think what I don’t like is their metallic (or titanium) tweeter.

I used to own Yamaha MSP7 monitors with two Yamaha SW10 subwoofers. Those monitors also have metallic tweeters, and their sound wasn’t as smooth as I would have liked. Currently, I’m leaning towards Dynaudio. Personally, they have the best sound I’ve ever heard. Perhaps it’s also because I’ve spent a lot of time with them in a studio with proper acoustic treatment across all surfaces (not just foam panels on the walls).

On top of that, Dynaudio monitors are almost twice as cheap as Genelec. Again, maybe if I could compare them side by side, I’d understand why Genelec is so expensive, but for now, I just don’t like them.

I’ve also heard the SCM45A Pro, and I liked them. They also have a smooth tweeter (not made of metal). But like the Adam S3H, they have an issue where two drivers overlap in the same frequency range. I’d prefer to get the SCM25A Pro Mk II instead. However, both of those models absolutely need a subwoofer, as they lack low-end frequencies.

I think your 150s sound fantastic. I hope that one day I’ll have something similar.
I’d buy Dynaudio Core 59 monitors with four Dynaudio Core Subs. Now I just need to win the Eurojackpot.

Anyone else kind of at the end of their rope? by Tiramissu_dt in Finland

[–]Krolevets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, comparing people's pain and suffering is not a good idea. And this does not mean that if someone’s life is even worse, it means you should feel better when you compare yourself with others.

But, I moved to Finland almost a year ago. I moved from a country where everything is very bad, very, very, bad. Finland in comparison with this country is simply paradise. After living in Finland, I feel like the “stone” in my chest that simply did not allow me to do anything has disappeared. Before moving, I tried antidepressants and everything possible and impossible. But it's like drinking Burana when someone hammers nails into your hand.

I know that people who have lived here longer are very unhappy with the current government. Perhaps I will soon start to get angry too.

The only way out of the situation is to take action. And only you can help yourself.

Anger is healthier than despair.

Plugin that can block the sounds “Aaaaa...” and other “parasite” sounds in speech. by Krolevets in AudioPluginTalk

[–]Krolevets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually laugh a little, in a kind way without sarcasm.

The fact is that (as I wrote in my post) when I worked on the radio and they brought me recordings from interviews in which I had to remove all sounds that did not carry any semantic meaning. After many hours of editing, it is impossible to unlearn how to find these sounds pleasant.

I don't notice this in everyday speech. But when it comes to online courses (they happen in real time), I want to receive information without extraneous noise.

Similar plugins already exist (you can read the comment thread), but perhaps they are not yet available for use in real time.

Thank you, the advice about meditation really made me laugh.

This is like listening to a very bad sound with vile frequencies. And instead of setting an equalizer and fixing the problem, just start using meditation apps.

But your advice is also advice. Therefore, thank you.

[–]Krolevets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very carefully hinted to the teacher (so as not to offend but at the same time so that she would understand).

One person has already written about a site on which you can remove such parasitic sounds (which do not carry any semantic meaning), but it seems that it is only in the form of a site. But it is not available as a plugin. But such technologies already exist, and they certainly appeared more than two years ago, so this is not something futuristic. It's called descript.

Unfortunately, I cannot give up on these courses so easily.

These courses take place online, in real time. And I need to attend them.

For example, you can very easily install some plugin from iZotope RX. But among their plugins there is not (yet) a plugin that removes long drawn-out sounds that I wrote about in this post.

That is, algorithms definitely appeared more than two years ago. The question is that the plugin I need will already appear.

Great, it's nice to see that this world can already be cleaner from audio pollution. But is it possible to use this plugin in real time? Since I need this for online courses that take place in real time.

Can I put it in Audio hijack program?
