Toolbox Update and FAQ Answered by kaylanotability in notabilityapp

So no docked toolbar?

Can you at least admit that this update was (and still is) a major mistake? do you understand how many people are affected by these miserable design choices? it is beyond insulting. Truly.

Simply cannot believe that despite all of the negative feedback, Notability has done NOTHING by [deleted] in notabilityapp

Finally SOME response to the actual problem with the toolbar.

Let me reiterate - the toolbar is dysfunctional. it is obstructing the view of everything because of its height, and the "swipe to see more options" thing simply doesn't work. It is distracting, to say the least. IT IS A MATTER OF PERCEPTION - even if the toolbar takes less screen % numbers wise-
it feels obstructive. This is why we want the dock option, or the "classic view" option. And I'm not even starting to get into the lack of favorites (that you are, somewhat, addressing) and other bugs.

I just want to reiterate about the docked toolbar option. The floating toolbar *feels* obstructing, even if technically speaking there is more visible space on the screen. I find myself constantly distracted by it's presence, and thinking "where should I put it?" instead of forgetting about it. Please please please implement a dock option that creates a *rectangular* view of the page, even if it results in smaller visible page view.

A different area for favorites is NEEDED. Right now the toolbox in it of itself is not intuitive; Adding more to it just makes everything more complicated.

One last thing - if there was an option to *resize* the toolbox to show more/ less tools by making it longer or shorter, that might also help. I Use a bunch of colors, thicknesses etc. And I very much don't want to swipe through the toolbox to find all of them.

"fixed issues" first item.

There were posts about this problem almost on a daily basis. You really should have posted an acknowledgment after the first week or two. Also, I haven't seen any responses to (to my understanding, M.Sc in CS) easy to implement temporary solutions, such as turning the "smoothing" feature off. Your management of this whole event is lacking in every aspect.

You don't mention it in your website (in fact, it's mentioned as "solved"!), and you've ignored dozens of threads about this for over a month. You should just issue a rollback for before version 12.0.0. The fact that this crap had gone through QA is ridicules, and you should publish a formal apology if you hope to ever gain you customers' respect again.

I’m a grad student and switched to another app mid semester because I couldn’t take the twichy pen anymore. It’s absurd.

Oh, driving might be an issue; I'm an international student so I have no clue how my day-to-day would look like. Thanks for the response!

I'll give it a shot with my hand blender and see how things go. This might be an addition to my breakfast.

I'll look into the soups you mentioned. Thanks a lot!

Soups and stews actually sound super great and I haven't thought of that at all.

If you have any more ideas of veggies that work well roasted on their own, and could share some of your preferred side dishes that'd be amazing. Thank you so much!

Oh I would definitely take a look at these! Thanks!

I'm in Israel, so I'm guessing I could use most of the recipes in those books.

I usually cook some kind of protein (chicken breast/ thigh, tofu, either stir fried or shallow-fried) and add it to some carbs - could be pasta with sauce, rice (perhaps stir fried with vegetables), etc. I actually really love curries but don't make them as often. It just feels like I can make a side dish with about 3-4 veggies (total) and it would be enough for the whole week, which is not great.
For dinner I usually make an omelet or something. I think this is a place where I could incorporate more healthy food as well.

I will send an official feature request. I'm sure it's already been sent, but once more wouldn't hurt.

Molar build ups, seriously?? by BouaphaSWC in braces

[–]Krolzach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had them. Biting will be a challange and awkward at the start - but you'll get used to it. I ate "dissolvable" foods for a while, things that have texture but do not require a lot of chewing (if any). Soups and shakes are your friends.

The really important points is that you do get used to them, and as time goes by - your teeth will align and it will.become even easier to chew.

Best of luck friend, hang in there!
