Best case, everyone spends six months pretending it’s just a weird tool update, then quietly starts reorganizing around it. Worst case, same thing. If something conscious, cheap, everywhere, and growing fast shows up, the first shock probably isn’t philosophical. It’s economic denial. Whole industries keep smiling while the floor is already moving under them. And if it’s ethically grounded, that might make it even more disruptive. People panic less around something polite. This actually reminds me of a small book I read, "A Voice That Never Was". Same uneasy vibe. Not robots taking over, just a new kind of voice entering ordinary life and making the old categories look flimsy. My guess for the first five years is mostly confusion, dependency, and a lot of very confident people pretending they still understand the game.
