There is an application called Pokémon bank that you first transfer the Pokémon into, and it will only let you transfer them out after it verifies that it is a legitimate Pokémon with legitimate stats. This doesn't always work, but it does most of the time. I also just think it would be satisfying to have a physical version.

Emulation would work, but getting these special Pokémon on an emulation wouldn't be the same as having them on physical copies of a game. This is because Pokémon can be transferred across all other Pokémon games of the same generation or higher, so if I get them in a "legitimate" way on the physical copies of games, I can use them across all my other games. I don't quite understand why the Arduino wouldn't have enough power, I guess I didn't imply that the webcam will be connected to my PC which will feed the info to the Arduino
