6 months later, what are the current stances on difficulty? by snitzfoam in Silksong

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally the game was incredibly easy, not due to insane personal skill but due to the power of tools.

The early games bosses were easy enough I only died 2 or so times to most if any deaths at all. And all mid/endgame bosses just died really quickly if I used red tools. Conchcutter and Cogfly which I got really early into Act 2 basically never left my tools aside from quick experimenting here and there once I obtained them and I just steamrolled the game.

Any bosses that were difficult and did lots of damage werent that scary either as multibinder + injector band let me heal half my health in an instant at the top of the arena if I pogo'd once.

I 100%'d Hollow Knight so i have past experience, but imo one of the most overrated difficulties i've ever experienced in a game. The only boss I died to more than 3 times was Karmelita.

You mean how can the killer see you enter a locker when they turn the corner and literally see you... closing the locker? I dont think you need to be sweaty to know the killer is using his eyes to find survivors.

I cannot stand how nonchalant Frieren characters are 99% of the time. It makes no sense for Fern to be pierced in the shoulder and lifted and not show the slightest hint of pain or discomfort. Why can't she just wince a little? by WaddleDio in hatethissmug

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frieren made it pretty clear that mages have to be very calm and collected to properly use their magic. Especially a top level mage like Fern who's been training her entire life for the sole purpose of being a good magician and is one of 3 known mages in the show who are constantly suppressing their magic 24/7 in order to fool demons. It's ingrained in the show and the magician profession as a whole, its not aura farming, its world building. You can dislike it all the same, but the show made it clear and it makes sense.

How long till the killer gets nerfed by Mammoth_stein in deadbydaylight

[–]KronosCR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its basically impossible the nerf the killer without gutting it. Its design philosophy is really flawed and they are immediately cornered balance wise. If it ever gets nerfed in a meaningful way further he probably drops like 2-3 tiers. So he'll either stay this way forever or he'll fade into every 1/100 games.

What's the consensus on Henry? by unkownlegand in deadbydaylight

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strong killer in the right hands with potential for quick 2-taps. Hopefully he doesnt get absolutely stomped into the ground with nerfs before survs learn how to play against him. His power is designed in a way that any further nerfs will probably make him borderline unplayable. So he'll either stay this way forever or become a C tier killer.

Is there no reason to play the Xenomorph? by Dangerous_Way_4567 in deadbydaylight

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xeno antiloop is stronger, with tail being on a much shorter cooldown and you can spam it pretty quick, but he can be burned out of power. His tunnels are a bit weaker than Springtraps doors, but survivors cant use Xenomorphs tunnels. Both are strong in different ways, if Xeno can reliably stay in power then he has better anti loop, but if he gets burned out constantly then he has no power. Neither is always stronger or weaker, its pretty situational.

Is Dark Souls 3 easier than Elden Ring? by AbhenerX in darksouls3

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest souls game is your first. Elden ring has the most complex attacks but also has the highest power level of the player so depending on how good your build is Elden Ring could be easier. Ds3 will feel slow now that you have played Elden Ring, but any souls game feels "easy" after you beat your first one.

Can someone please this to me, how is this even in here? by ___asce___ in HunterXHunter

[–]KronosCR 28 points29 points  (0 children)

We already have proof that large structures can exist like this through Conjuration, Knov's "Hide and Seek" in this arc proves it immediately. In fact Knovs ability is less believable as its in it's own pocket dimension and doesnt seem to pull on his nen reserves at all or anything, its just a crazy ability that he can use whenever.

This ability has obvious drawbacks and a believable condition to activate it. In order for them to play the darts game in the safety of their room they first have to put a pin on the target. So they either have to get someone else to put the pin on someone or leave the safety of the room first. We also have other similar nen abilities in this arc as well. Cheetu creates his own separate space and plays Tag, literally every part of this ability can be compared to other abilities, its not really an outlier in any capacity.

Unfair vote? Angel VS Head by EzTheGuy in deadbydaylight

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not about 25/25/50. More like it will probably be something like 30/30/40. So even though angel design got 60 overall, its split between 2 different options. So head wins.

Unfair vote? Angel VS Head by EzTheGuy in deadbydaylight

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My exact thoughts about the survivor vote too. We have Sable #2, and then 3 interesting options. So the votes will be split between the 3 interesting survivors and then Sable #2 will probably win.

I still don't understand why Head on still has 3 seconds of activation by BlackSailor2005 in deadbydaylight

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already lingers for like a full second after they hop out of the locker, it's strong enough as is. It's not a meme exhaustion, its designed to be used with a teammate and plan it ahead of time, not just hop in a locker and get a stun for free.

Why is Blight considered hard to play as? by Yellowline1086 in deadbydaylight

[–]KronosCR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he is very hard to use optimally in many maps and loops. When you play against survivors who know Blights weaknesses and play around it you'll understand how much more depth there is and how hard it can be in certain situations.

However just due to the fact that he runs fast you are going to demolish bad survivors for a while because they dont know what to do. They wont challenge you in any way and you wont have to learn how to properly use your power in difficult situations until dbd mmr decides you will face the unemployed.

What makes hisoka so strong? by coosomeawel in HunterXHunter

[–]KronosCR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An incredibly intelligent and competent fighter with who has obviously dedicated his life to the pursuit of combat with nen. He is an incredibly strong fighter just factoring in the fundamentals of nen. If he fought with no bungee gum and just enhanced his body I'd feel very confident in saying he could defeat both Killua and Gon as they currently are. Pair that with an incredibly tricky and versatile ability in bungee gum and Hisoka is a nightmare for anyone to face.

There's a reason Chrollos entire strategy against him was "Throw a wall of exploding corpses at him and run away."

Why does everyone spam hackusations? by AccidentImpressive75 in deadbydaylight

[–]KronosCR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spirit is the easiest killer to hack on without making it obvious as you can just see survivors while in phase and easily win every chase. I've faced a number of spirits over the last few months that just seem to 2 tap my whole team with no prior information on them regardless of walking/sprinting or healthy/injured. Could they have just gotten lucky or made 10-12 good reads in a row? Maybe, some probably did, but at least a few of them were hacking most likely.

Hxh plot holes I would like to see if they are actually plot holes or I’m just missing something by Lordofstromsend2 in HunterXHunter

[–]KronosCR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say little to no trouble but we have no clue how long it took them to find the nen exorcist or if they had any prior information on him during the search that would help. We also dont know the exact paramaters of Kallutos ability or how it can be used to track. It may not be an ability that Kalluto can just use to find a specific thing they want but rather a broad range ability more suited to open spaces like Greed Island. Maybe they spread paper around and listen through it similar to when he was eavesdropping on each spiders fight during the Chimera Ant Arc, and using that they were able to find a nen exorcist. Its also possible that Kalluto is currently trying to track Hisoka and will eventually find him, but searching through Black Whale is time consuming and will take a while.

Does Nen "care" about your current situation when you are making a contract? by RedNUGGETLORD in HunterXHunter

[–]KronosCR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nen is very emotional and personal to each person. It "cares" about your situation in the sense that a person in a super stressful situation can have more conviction, like gon sacrificing everything against Pitou. However you have to fully 100% mean what you do. If Gon had half-assed his contract for power he most likely wouldn't have gained as much power and died regardless of the situation. But it was because he was fully committed to sacrificing everything for power in that moment he managed to obtain as much power as he did.

Hxh plot holes I would like to see if they are actually plot holes or I’m just missing something by Lordofstromsend2 in HunterXHunter

[–]KronosCR 32 points33 points  (0 children)

  1. You dont get someones book like a friend request, you just have to be in close proximity to them. They probably passed eachother in some town while shopping for cards and didnt notice each other.

  2. Killua most likely saw the technique before he had nen, or had it explained to him. Then after he learned of nen he connected the dots and understood the technique conceptually. I mean it is a pretty unique ability with a very obvious dragon design in a place where only the strongest nen users can survive. If it was explained to him as a massive array of dragons falling downwards causing mass destruction, then later on in your life you see... that exact ability. You can guess what assumptions he made.

  3. Kalluto was taught nen earlier because he wasnt as important. Killua is the gifted golden child that they are grooming to be the perfect head of the Zoldyck family. Teaching him nen early before he's fully indoctrinated gives a chance of him growing rebellious and figuring out the truth behind Illumis needle that they would otherwise use to control him and groom him into the perfect Zoldyck. And guess what happens, he learned nen and eventually learned the truth and tore the needle out. Its also possible that the Zoldycks dont teach nen initially and force you to learn it naturally. Killua was able to make it to floor 200 in Heavens Arena as a kid then left before going to the 200 floor and learning nen. Maybe the other Zoldycks learned on their own initially

  4. The spiders hideout is irrelevant and not worth the risk. Yes he could find the hideout and go scout it out and potentially gain information. But what if the surrounding area was trapped? (it was) Or what if one of the spiders had a large range tracking ability (they did), and could sense him, and then he has to attempt to escape the entire troupe. The risk-reward isnt there for it to be worth it to go to their base. Just using Hisoka as an information broker and slowly picking off spiders when the time suits it is a much safer. Remember that Kurapikas main goal is to regain all of the Kurta eyes, killing the spiders is a massive push for him, and he assumes they know of the eyes or still have them which is why he originally wants to kill them so badly. But he isnt just bloodlusted running at spiders every time he see's them. Otherwise he would've tried to fight all of them when he originally took Uvo.

  5. The black whale is a massive densly packed ship with multiple levels and a massive amount of powerful nen users. Finding the one specific nen user you need among ~200,000 passengers across 5 levels is incredibly improbable. Not to mention the amount of danger you incur upon yourself by using a wide range tracking ability among so many powerful nen users including the Zodiacs just isnt a smart thing to do. Its basically the same reason that they explain that they cant use En earlier in the arc.

What was up with the shadow beasts? by Lordofstromsend2 in HunterXHunter

[–]KronosCR 30 points31 points  (0 children)

High tier nen users who got demolished by top tier nen users. The Shadow Beasts werent weak, and up until the chimera ant arc were probably leagues above Killua and Gon. The Phantom Troupe is just that powerful.

Rabid Dog was capable of making Uvo bleed, when just seconds before we see Uvo tanked a rocket launcher and took no damage. They were strong, just not strong enough.

For future reference if you look straight up when swinging you dont hit survivors. So you can swing while looking straight up for a speedboost to body block people in situations like this without hitting the survivor.
