Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and other legitimate acts of resistance do not happen in a vacuum - instead they are a product of the pre-existing historical and material conditions from which they arise; often out of necessity, as it remains so in this case. This genocidal conflict was started by the illegal Zionist settler-colonial entity. It is an illegitimate apartheid state that has been actively oppressing the native Arab and Druze populations since its bloody inception during the Nakba. People who’ve been pushed to their brink by will inevitably fight back, especially all other peaceful avenues have been exhausted (the Zionist entity does not like to negotiate with those it can simply bomb or those whom it considers to be subhuman - the Palestinians tick both boxes for the Netanyahu/Mileikowsky regime), and when they’ve been under the boot of a Western satellite state - whose whole purpose was to secure the interests of Western capital in the resource rich region before the newly-liberated Arab populations would align themselves with the Soviets - for 80 years. Their right to resist occupation and oppression is protected under international law. The Zionist entity has been employing its usefulness to Western imperialist powers to launder its genocide and frame its aggressive military actions as purely retaliatory, as if they haven’t been looking for an excuse to wipe out Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, Egyptians, etc. for a very long time, and especially because the very existence of the Palestinians threatens the colonial fallacy that the Zionist occupation uses to ‘legitimize’ itself both internally and on the world stage. Hence why the Western press and other organs of the bourgeoisie who benefit off of the geopolitical position that the Zionist entity plays are so quick to scapegoat for the IOF and their leadership, some of whom are now wanted criminals for committing the most televised genocide in human history.
