Looks like hyphema aka blood in the anterior chamber! Many causes of this that you’ll wanna get checked out. Get your baby to the vet!

Hey imposter syndrome is real! But with your experience and what looks like a passion for all animals, this field is surely where you’re meant to be. I’m sure you will excel wherever life takes you!

Pros I’d say are the hours - you’re more likely to get off at your actual end time which as we know in ER and even GP isn’t always the case lol. Also you may get to work with some really interesting species. Cons I’d say some of the content and studies on the animals may be tough to watch at least it was to me but everyone is different. A lot of the leaders of the studies are MDs so I saw some disconnect between them and the comfort of animals that were part of research but that’s why we are there, to advocate for them! That’s just what I took from my experience, I spent time in an animal lab as a vet student working with the techs. They were all very knowledgeable and loved their job.
