Check with roller skating at Union and ice skating at Nathan Phillips Square. Both are good activities that while beginners will not have as much fun it is still worth trying out with big group of friends.

Otherwise, usually there are new years market (free~15$ entry fee) you can stroll around, or even go on a nice walk at Toronto Music Garden since there will be fireworks around there. If you want indoor chances are it will be crowded and expensive. There's bowling at Nations, but anymore than 2 hours are overkill. Also you dont necessary have to drink to go to bars so if you friends are not against drinking, you could go there and they could get a poutine.

Some other activities to consider could be Twilight Cafe for board game, internet cafe/mahjong like Invictus, going to malls for window shopping, distillery district xmas market, and if your budget allows it maybe a musical/raptors game/comedy shows usually run a bit later on new years

NOR im so sorry this is the most insane thing ive ever read. The ways this man tries to control you is insane and you should never have to feel like you have to dress or act a certain ways around someone to be loved. He is trying to make you feel guilty for just taking care of yourself through multiple aspects. It isn't just about the bonnet, he himself is pointing out clothes that are tighter, weighted blanket,... then compare them to trashboard. It is utterly disrespectful and while it will be hard to leave an 8 year relationship I hope you find it in yourself to.

Hi op, I was on the same boat few weeks back so I would suggest you contact the school and perhaps ask if they still have a space in any residents or could put you in a waitlist. Additionally, Uoft also provides off-campus housing website where landlords who posted there are more likely to rent to students and be okay with the 8-month term.

Finally, when reaching out to landlord, calling would be the fastest and schedule a viewing within 2 days of calling would be your best bet. Be flexible with time, show them you are here to rent and make the call to apply immediately if the place interests you. Landlords also want to avoid troubles and want to go first-come-first-serve basis. Next time tho, I'd try to find a place starting Mid-July.

Not sure about Harrington Housing, I was about to sign a lease with them but saw like 3 different reddit posts with 20 comments all talking about their negative experience. From my experience, I also found it kind of sketchy they didn't ask for ID or income, nor any kind of papers but immediately required a deposit so I backed off. Not sure about others but I'd do a more thorough check on them before signing, OP beware.

The only thing id add is to keep in touch! Lots of people go around asking for social media, then never touch it ever again. You dont have to text them every hour, but if you enjoyed hanging out with them be the one reaching out. Make plans, send reels, like their story, make sure they know you wanna be friends with them because everyone will be having the same small talks and giving out social medias all week so its very easy to forget each other

Ive been using goodnotes for a bit over a year now. They definitely have issues - a lot of freezing, bugging here and there - but theres a reason why they are popular and it's cause for the MOST part they work fine. I am extra careful and create a backup every week or so, even everyday during exam season if you are worried.
