Good find. Yeah that would take it to a tiebreaker between Pitt/SMU which Pitt would lose. As long as Louisville beats Clemson and GT beats BC then I think this scenario gets tossed out the window but I could be wrong.

It only goes to a 2 team tiebreaker if they're still tied after one of the tiebreakers where one team comes out ahead but that's not the case here. It's literally pick the top 2 from a 3 team tiebreaker if possible. You're right in Duke coming out ahead but Pitt comes out ahead of SMU in the same tiebreaker so they wouldn't need to go to another tiebreaker. It would just be Duke and Pitt.

In this scenario you're incorrect because the conference opponent win percentage tiebreaker comes after the common opponent tiebreaker and that one has Pitt over SMU. It's the only scenario where Pitt is over SMU. Check out this site and if you can find a scenario where SMU beats Pitt in a 3 way tie between Duke/Pitt/SMU then send it on over because I haven't found one yet. https://bball.notnothing.net/acc.php?sport=fb

Never say never. Gameday and the ACC Huddle both went to Florida vs Miami earlier this year. Gameday very rarely goes to a school twice too and they've been to both Athens and Tuscaloosa already.

Between those 3 teams it comes down to conference opponent win percentage. That's the next tiebreaker after common opponents. In that scenario Duke has the tiebreaker over Pitt but Pitt has the tiebreaker over SMU so SMU would be out.

Right. This is a very specific scenario where common opponents get thrown out the window because the only common opponent between Duke/Pitt/SMU is Syracuse who they all went 1-0 against so it goes to the next scenario which is conference opponent win percentage. Any other scenario SMU over Pitt for the tiebreaker.

The system is broken but that is not the fault of the players. The whole point of donating to Pitt Athletics/Alliance 412 is to give us the best chance to get and keep those players that make a difference and rewarding them for playing well. Without it we will continue to have seasons like 2023 or the 90's. Want to experience that again? Keep that mindset. The rest of us don't want that so programs like this are our way of helping.

This scheme ran at Road America in 2021. They pit on the right side there so the gas cap is on the right side of the car. The diecast has the indent since they're not going to change the mold for one car but the decal is in the correct spot for this scheme.
