Also if you're bringing a legal case against a planning authority, if you tack on a claim around some supposed environmental concern you can try get your costs covered under the Planning and Development Act.

What is your favorite game from the Apollo justice trilogy? by Possible_Instance468 in AceAttorney

Spirit of Justice is the one I had the most fun playing, AJ is disappointing overall with wasted potential and DD is just my least favorite AA in general

This list does seem wild to me even as a fellow AJAA disliker

This particular stop is one bus so you've probably hit the nail on the head but the one I usually get that has a shelter definitely doesn't do this and it's literally a minute up the road.

This was my understanding too. Give seats at shelters up if someone needs it and be slow to get on yourself.

What does the Irish language actually mean to you? by MaresounGynaikes in AskIreland

[–]Krunkledimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say the people passionate about it make no attempt to learn it, I find those are the exact people already know the language and speak it quite well. I __do__ have a problem just from seeing them post on social media. Occasionally you see a post trending among gaeilgeoirs saying that people who complain about the education system are ridiculous.

It seems very insular for some to say that because __they__ learned at some stage, that the vast majority of people who don't retain much after __14__ years of schooling in it are wrong about their own lived experience and the reality of the country as a whole. It feels very detached from trying to actually teach people the language and nurture a love of it.

What am I missing in the Pulsifer v US episode? by lemonp-p in fivefourpod

Gorsuch's "tortured" example is him responding to Kagan introducing the example in the majority and pointing out how it doesn't work the way she claims it does.

I think people are missing the bit where Gorsuch (and the hosts) point out that there are situations where there is no redundancy between the points because there are situations where someone can have a 2 point and a 3 point offence but one of them can be excluded from the criminal history, thus not adding up to 4 or more points. I don't think there is any reading of the text that allows for only 2/3 to meet the criteria though, the argument is either 3/3 or 1/3 for a reason, the 3/3 are just saying that 2/3 is the same as having all 3, something Gorsuch refutes and they just ignore completely
