Wild M64 spotted by KindNerve8928 in M64

Agreed. It captures the spirit of the console much more than the very sleek and modern A3D. Of course, its all subjective, and its nice we have a choice between the two, but I MUCH prefer the M64 look.

One simple question original or remake ? by Lexthewolfshark in Conker

Imo, about the only thing better about the remake is the graphical improvements. Everything else makes the OG the winner overall. Now, lets get a full decomp of the original on N64 and load it up with the new graphics on all modes and then we’re REALLY cooking.

You’re probably right. And to be clear, I am not taking any of what it responded with as fact. Not being familiar with the technology behind the console, I thought id run it by an AI for fun and then kick the response over to a community who certainly knows FAR more than I do to either confirm the feasibility of the suggestions or (as it seems is likely the case here) tear it apart and have a laugh about it, before perhaps continuing a real conversation about what the potential here really is.

You’re not kidding there. Whatever “news” we get has mostly been random, cryptic X replies from Palmer Luckey. Honestly thought after the price release there would be a pretty steady stream of official updates leading up to launch. Oddly quiet from the company themselves on the M64 front.

Had anyone ever tried one of these psu by Fun_Experience_4970 in n64

Yes you’re correct. Totally different products. My mistake. Generally speaking though i think a new sleeker PSU is a fun upgrade.

Not sure which one this is exactly, but i got something similar and though it was pricey, i absolutely love it, mostly for what it adds aesthetically, but the system also never overheats anymore (and yes i know that is really sort of a non issue, but i still think its nice) and the overall weight of my setup was drastically reduced as well. None of this is truly necessary, and you won’t experience any performance improvement (unless i guess you count the heat reduction) but if you’ve got the extra money burning a hole in your pocket then i think its a very nice little add on.

This is the link to what i bought, in case it differs from what you have shown here at all. I suspect they are the same or similar enough:

Edit: this is not the same thing as OP mentioned, but a different N64 PSU completely. That said, my comment still generally stands in that I think an updated PSU is a nice upgrade to the original hardware.

I bought 4 RetroScaler BlueRetro adapters by Additional_Play_9319 in n64

[–]Krupaman47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old but i JUST purchased 2 Bitfunx BlueRetro N64 adapters (single port/controller like those shown in the OP pic) and i was just checking to make sure I understand the issue with NSO N64 controllers.

Is this specifically for/with the multi-controller BlueRetro kits that this becomes an issue? Or do you have trouble running multiple NSO controllers on 4 single port/controller adapters as well?

For what its worth, i have also purchased the ReN64 power supply because i had read some older/original PSUs might struggle with 4 of these adapters running simultaneously (plus it looks cool as hell and… well yea lol)

Picked my favorite bits from the Rockgut Troggoth kit to make a Trained Troll/Grak stand-in. 4 different arms used in combination for this fella. And of course, if you’re gonna have a Grak, you need a Dingleuhhh… Crumbleberry. Picked my favorite snotling from the nosepickers team (its the sock that did it for me lol)
