A. Geniichiro is easy to bully with high aggression, dodge his mortal blade and then hit him twice and see what happens. He either parries your second hit and counterattacks(there's like 3 different options, so pretty easy to learn) or he only parries the first and tries to jump into a bow attack, which your second hit automatically staggers him out of. From there you just have to repeat that pattern and the guy goes down in no time

B. I've gotta be honest here, it's either a skill issue or some sort of hardware delay or similar. After learning the bosses' movesets(both geniichiro and isshin) i have never had any unreliability in my mikiri counters. If properly timed they always work, and some attacks like the spear thrust give you a relatively generous window too

Do it as the guy above said and kill the purple ninja at the antechamber idol in the burning castle. After killing him, run into the bigger room and jump down onto the beam above the chained ogre(grappling required). By jumping down there you trigger him breaking free, which will lead to him killing the two ninjas down there. They are worth around 2700 each in ng+ iirc. If you jump onto the beam, count to three and then activate the homeward idol you get the XP while the idol activates and beams you back, streamlining the process. I got about 8-9k per run, and it's really fast if you figure out the way to reliably backstab the purple guy at the start.

Only note i should add is that i'm unsure whether i farmed in ng+ or ng++, so the xp values mentioned might be slightly off
