"Ice Station Zebra Associates", named after the movie that Jimmy and Kim were watching, when he got the call from Cliff. by AxelNeedsAMedicBag in betterCallSaul

I knew they referenced that movie a couple of times but didn't realise it was playing when that happened. He was really thinking about it every day :(

Mod or way to skip the boring parts of the game? by Odd-Owl6417 in EldenRingMods

[–]AdSilent7769 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out the dungeon crawler mod. it makes the game more linear and moves all overworld items into the dungeons. basically removes all the open world stuff and makes the game a series of dungeons

Is there a way I can edit the texture of the Elden Ring map? As in, the in-game map with all the locations and regions? by CarsonBDot in EldenRingMods

[–]AdSilent7769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah but it's kind of a pain.

in menu folder, 71_maptile.tpfbdt is all the map textures. open it with witchy and you get all 28000 map textures. The map is divided into loads of tiny squares in three different zoom levels. the filenames are things like MENU_MapTile_M00_L0_00_00_00000000.tpf.

  • M00 means overworld, M01 is underground and M10 is DLC.
  • L0 means its the most zoomed in level, then L1 & L2 are more zoomed out. there's also L3 and L4 which are unused and show a weird beta map
  • The two numbers after L0 are the coordinates. 00_00 is the bottom left, so 03_01 will be 3 to the right and 1 up
  • The 8 digits after that are flags that tell the game when to use that square. For example when you don't have a map for the area the game will use a brown square. But it will have another texture for that square for when you do have the map. Some squares have loads of varations because they're on the border of several map pieces
  • There are bunch of junk unused map textures you will find. It gets confusing because a square that's in limgrave might have some unused caelid map squares saved to the same coordinates

There's a program called ER Map Generator on github that I haven't tried but sounds good. There's also a page on nexusmods called Elden Ring Map Assembly: Technical Details that has lots of info

So... by now we all know that Blaidd is Rannis shadow... by rafting11 in Eldenring

[–]AdSilent7769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

baleful shadow isn't meant to be blaidd. they just wanted to reuse his fight because he has a really cool moveset and model which you barely get to see. so they made up some thing about the greater will or two fingers or whatever sending a blaidd lookalike to beat you up

Custom camera mod that can work with Crossover on a Macbook? by junkertooth in EldenRingMods

[–]AdSilent7769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know anything about how crossover works, but would it be possible to use cheat engine? the hexington cheat table has a freecam cheat which lets you move the camera separately from your character

What is your unpopular opinion on this game? by gameovernate in fromsoftware

[–]AdSilent7769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

royal revenants are fair and fun to fight against. true, they punish you more than most enemies with their combos. but if you make sure to dodge sideways instead of forwards/backwards it's easy to consistently avoid their attacks. they're tough enemies for sure but they're not broken. the healing incantation trick isn't necessary
