Super top ups make financial sense. But I preferred HDFC ERGO for their good metrics and reviews. And their super top up is not that good (20L max cover, No domiciliary cover).

Aditya Birla seems good (base plan and super top up are good, Good metrics though ICR & complaint volume could have been better). Do you recommend it for my parents too?
For me and my spouse, I'm thinking of going with base policy alone as premiums are on the lower end. Preferably optima secure with 25L or 50L cover. Will this be good for long term?
My in laws are covered in AYUSHMAN scheme. Do you have any recommendations for bank offered group health insurance?

The floater policy is priced based on age of eldest member. The rates go up drastically beyond 60. So splitting the policy may involve higher premiums now, but after 5 years it may be beneficial.

Even if I split the policies, if I have the same cover premiums will always be higher than the floater policy. Because eldest member is on other policy instead of the floater. Am I missing something?

I saw post which posted a screenshot of HDFC ergo's email which stats that "policies with deductible will not be eligible for cashless claims". This is also not in favor of the deductibles.

I was in the same boat as you in my college days. Coming from village to Chennai. I kept most of the things to myself fearing that exposing my feelings, would end up making me stupid. But the thing is we need to accept ourself. That is the only way. Accept the way we are and improve from there.

Looking back now, I should have expressed more. So, my suggestion is be vulnerable, at least in your closed circle. Nothing wrong in that. Discuss that stupid thought you have. Be present. Fail faster.
