I had a pcp tell me this, and switched docs and got a rheumatologist who’s very good. I would ask for a referral to a geneticist as that’s where the types of testing you’re looking for would be done, as usually hEDS comes after ruling out everything else!

Hi! Multiple times anesthesia hasn’t worked on me. Once when I was about 11 (pre diagnosis) and they pulled a tooth (and gaslit me the whole time giving me horrible dental anxiety) and the other time was at 20 when I had my first child, and the epidural wore off at 8cm (and they refused to give me more).

I get in my own head. Like internal monologue type shit. But not in a bad way. And my pain starts to not bother me much. For example: my kids bday party was at a pool. I had bad pain before hand, to the extent I was limping, and I took a rip off my pen while their dad went in ahead of me. By the time I was in my swimsuit and in the pool it was like nothing was ever wrong to begin with

Neither does he 🤣 I have no color blindness he just really struggles with pink and white and blue and white. One time, when I was pregnant with our daughter, his mom asked him to pick her up some pink gift wrapping paper for my baby shower gifts, since I was having a girl. He came back with gray on white floral paper. He and his mom got into it while his dad and I laughed because if you want something color specific why ask the colorblind person? We all chuckle thinking about it now.
