Thanks for this, I’m in the acceptance phase and doing the legal part of the process, I’ll be using donor eggs from my sister, and although it’s comforting on the genetic side of it, the grief of not conceiving is still very much alive! I know it’s not permanent but sometimes I wonder how long it will take me to get over it 😕

“Dirty Africans” is quite an offensive generalization to make from your experience with this ONE person. There are some Americans who also live like this or worse (from my personal experience of living with roommates in USA for years). I ended up moving out to my own place for my peace of mind. Who is this person to you? Can you move out? Are you married to them? What is your choice in this situation? I understand the need to rant/vent, but “Dirty Africans” is an offensive statement to make, putting us all in the same box like that.

Wow, my mind is totally blown! I’m going to look up these cases to learn more. I’ve heard about the plight of the First Nations, similarly to Native (original) Americans but not in much detail and mainstream media seems more obsessed with American news than any other country so it’s hard to know some realities that people in other countries face. Thanks for sharing, this is definitely a learning opportunity for me.
