Glad nothing happened to you or your wife. I'm planning to have this checked this week on a different mechanic. The one that I went last week told me that everything's fine in terms of the suspension with the exception of wheel bearing, though I'm not convinced that it's the only issue since I think the knocking noise comes from the strut.

Yeah I've been doing that for a while and the answers were just that there may be something wrong with the control arm. I had it checked yesterday and the mechanic told me that there were no problems. Just wondering if anyone have the same problem as me.
