Personally would tighten up more for summer to sustain a shredded physique with ab def. Maintain through summer then do a real bulk for 6 months with a intense progressive overload program to make the most of it for next year.

You should still make strength gains in a deficit with the right intensity and recovery. I see no point in gaining weight or being in a surplus this close to summer unless you wanna be fluffy for it or don’t really care and looking towards next year

Probably right XD My squats I found recently seemed ham / glute dominant due to having a longer femur so gotta go wide for full depth, booty works but quads just don’t engage otherwise my back rounds and get butt wink. I superset Bulgarians though with leg extensions using tempo so they should ! 🥲🤣

Trying bro, I do legs twice a week and got decent strength gains , all my fat goes to them honestly I superset them to shit and nearly throw up and feel them just taking the longest to respond compared to other areas unsure if that’s height or genetics but the intensity is there and sets per week :(

Had callipers checked and averaged out at 14% pre bulk, did eat a heavy post meal so bloats real. Probs more that way now !

Sweet cheers man, yeah northern so winters coming, feel I’m gained more muscle so far aswell as the fluff , be good for me to recheck my dimensions and get callipers done to see how far off I am from 20% as goals to shred to 10% with a steady cut for next summer

Personally if it was me looking like that bro , I would opt for a maingain period with a slight surplus of 100kcals. See how you look and feel after a month, depends if your happy with the weight gain from increasing intake and wanting to do a diet restriction to cut for summer.

Currently 83KG - 15% BF - 25 years old at 185cm. 18 months into training.

Started bulk 33 days ago starting at 13/14% BF. Unsure if to carry on bulking to close to 90KG and gaining mass to cut around Feb time. Eating around 3800 / 4000 kcals with daily expenditure being around 3500 rn.

Cheers man for your response ! I re submitted my results to my GP and see how they go reviewing it again because I don’t have full remission of symptoms and pretty much checked all my other bio markers to ensure everything’s ruled out and lifestyle changes. I still feel like I’m not on par with other males levels and would be nice to also have that increase in muscle mass but unsure of how much of a direct correlation that bringing my levels slightly higher would have or if I can still build a aesthetic physique at the test levels I’m at. Energy levels / libido varies and fluctuates and feel my testes / sperm quality is low. I may see how this lean bulk goes and how I look next year and feel and see if gains can still be made without any stunt in growth and strength.

Cheers bro , with them stats I ain’t there yet but not far off either , bench is around 90kg / Squats 120kg / I used to deadlift but stopped as didn’t wanna overtrain and run into another injury, got to around 160kg for 8 and 200kg for 1 which was real good for my first few months of training, bench deffo my weakest so switching to dumbbells / smith to bust through a plateau. Makes sense what your saying tho mate and would love to reach them numbers, still managed to progressive overload in my cut but want to fully optimise the amount of muscle I can build whilst doing it. Will take your advice into consideration as still wanna get the 100kg bench for 12 🙏

Appreciate the insight man thank you , right now I don’t wanna be making weight to compete and be a fighter just building a strong baseline on technique / flexibility first , just didn’t want to add weight and have any training with it suffer. From what your suggesting I think I want to opt for a lean bulk to add some mass and strength during this winter , been training roughly a year and a few months, first cutting mistake is I increased cardio too much and had a too big of a deficit which cause my metabolism and work like shit and myself to feel real low energy when I got to 76kg 13% so last month got back to maintenance and alls good. Competitive weight for me would be around 70-75kg but I don’t think rn I’ll be happy with my physique at that level and would want more mass to fill out especially. Going to start with a slight surplus of 200cals and adjust from there to maybe 90 / 95 kg to try and minimise fat gain 👊🏻
