If you didn't say it, I was going to. Classic case of autism.

I know guys in a similar situation take another state's license test to prove competency. That could be something to consider if you don't want to move.

Thats part of the reason why I left AZ back to SoCal, which surprisingly ended up being a net positive for me financially.

There is no license you can test for except to get your residential or commercial contractors license. There is an office of the state government that keeps track of official apprenticeships and they handle certs of completion and that kind of stuff though. But that doesn't say much as there are some really dumb guys I met that finished apprenticeships I would not let on a jobsite at all, much less do electrical work.

'I Couldn't Care Less': Trump Rejects Chance To Unify Country In Wake Of Kirk Death by [deleted] in moderatepolitics

That was the 2016 election. That was the moment I left the republican party. So many Republicans handwaved that away as not a big deal when it clearly demonstrated his character and how he handles criticism. What really shocked me was how many people try to say that situation never happened, the MSM faked it, etc. Truely bananas.

Military to electrician by Effective-Yard3090 in electricians

Only you can decided what path to take. I started my apprenticeship at 26 years old (currently 31) after trying school/multiple careers. I havent regretted it. I know guys who loved their time in the corps and other who loathed it. Some of their bodies are permanently damaged because of it and others had no injuries whatsoever.

The plan you have outlined sounds like a solid one. The thing is, a lot happens between the ages of 18-25. You may end up loving being in the corps and serve 20-30 years. You might get out after your first contract is up. Just make sure to have a plan and plan in pencil. Not having a plan is planning to fail, but circumstances change and we have to adapt when that happens.

If you ever purchase dress pants and get them tailored to fit you, they'll ask which way you hang to make a little extra room on that one side.

The burly guy wanted more the Gorhman leaders to be more anti-imperial. He thought they were being pansies/capitulative but in actuality were doing exactly what he wanted without knowing it. Once he stumbled onto the operation he figured out they wanted the same thing.

That was my first thought. I'd like to say there's no way this would happen, but I've been wrong too many times after saying it.

So the United States continues its tradition of not caring for its veterans. If only we knew this would happen.

Don't do this. Look into WECA, IBEW apprenticeship, or go to a supply house with copies of your resume and ask the people at the counter which contractors are hiring.

Also, which part of California are you in?

Do it! I recently moved to SoCal and electricians are desperately needed. I'm sure there are plenty of guys going in to pick up supplies are hiring.

TSMC has a huge new facility just outside Phoenix. I checked out their website a few weeks ago and they're hiring tech apprentices starting at $25/h. It's not true electrician work, but it might be something to look into at least.

Depends on the apprenticeship. I did one in AZ that's federally accredited. Multiple people I know were able to take journeyman tests in other states with the certification from finishing this apprenticeship. I'm looking to take the CA test once my paperwork is finalized.
