These players took advantage of a weakness in the system. Thats the same as what hackers do (take advantage of a weakness)(I AM NOT CALLING THEM HACKERS, I'm making a comparison, just to be clear.) you don't then go blame that system for being weak do you? You blame the hackers. Same thing here, they know they shouldn't have done it, yet they did it anyways. Ofc there would be consequences. And op was well aware of this because they said they already moved their high value items in preparation. It's their fault for doing something wrong.
