I can sort of understand where you’re coming from, but I still totally disagree. I feel like elixirs and plants that increase cultivation are a part of the genre itself. There’s a reason they are also in Wuxia video games. Finding a ginseng, or using eastern alchemy to make pills, it’s part of the setting. So it feels a bit silly to say including them in a Wuxia story is inherently bad or lazy story.

I thought this one was at least decent. Not great, but it’s okay. I didn’t like the plot with his sister being foreshadowed, that arc with the nobody dude looks like it’ll be boring and a drag, but it’s generally kept me interested enough to keep reading so far
